If you book the Basic fare it is 6k miles less than what is shown for the main cabin when you click through the link provided.
Are these Delta Flash Sales actually sales? From the several I’ve looked over in the past few months it looks more like they aren’t sales at all, but rather just a random assortment of their normally priced flights in an attempt to drum up interest. It doesn’t help that the prices listed on the Delta Flash Sales page do not always match the actual price of the flights. For example:
PHX to SJD Mar 29 to Apr 4 is listed as 47500 Skymiles, but the lowest cost flight is currently 60000 Skymiles.
CHI to CUN Feb 26 to Mar 3 is listed as 12500 Skymiles, but the lowest cost flight is currently 10000 Skymiles.
Most of these look meh. I just booked 4 tickets on American, PHX->ZIH (Ixtapa) for 20k miles RT direct.
Most of us don’t have AA miles anymore.
