Delta Sky Club Now Requiring Physical Platinum Card For $39 Guest Access

American Express Platinum cardholders can access Delta Sky Club Lounges, in addition they can bring a guest for a $39 fee. The $39 fee must be paid for with your Platinum card. Previously it wasn’t required to bring your physical card (you could have it in your Delta wallet) but according to reddit user abourne307 that’s no longer the case and the physical card must be present. My guess is that American Express is trying to ensure cardholders are keeping the card on them when traveling, but who knows.
