Our Verdict
Lots of DG stores are cash only on gift cards (maybe debit too?). Good deal on Lowe’s, some of the others might be useful too. I expect the Lowe’s will sell out fast.
They also show in their ad 10% off iTunes $25 denom and higher.
I was able to buy $4000 worth Lowes cards with my Amex prepaid gift cards that I had bought and was stuck with after Venmo shutdown for Amex liquidation

Got $3000 worth Lowes GC in 2 different transaction with 2 different CC’s and met spending requirements on those 2. Worked like a charm.

For fun, I tried buying a Lowe’s GC with the MasterCard GC I just bought with the Publix deal. Nope. Cash only.
The DGs are a little ways from me, but when I looked at Google Maps – they are just so clustered – I had to give it a try.
Credit and Debit are not hard coded, but only 2 of 5 locations that I tried let me buy. I also triggered a DG fraud warning – on the third VGC purchase (4th transaction in a row). They had to add credit back to the card.
Tested the waters and was able to get a $100 card with credit.
These are variable cards, up to $500, although, I already have $1200 in lowe’s GCs from PPDG and Staples, so not sure if I want to keep loading on these, as I only have organic spend so far and no route to liquidate.
I just got $500 more today with credit. Winning.

Hit this pretty hard. Bought a bunch a fee free $200 Staples VGC with Ink Cash for 5% back, then drove over to Dollar General and got $2K Lowes using the VGC. May rinse and repeat a few times. Big remodel coming up and might be some meat on the bone for Lowe’s resale as well.
There is no limit except cashier’s. I managed to buy 3500 with 7 different transactions. My store – cash only.
Got $600 for $510. Paid with Debit.
