[Expired] Ebags, Get 19-27% Cash Back from Topcashback, Stack with 20% Amex Offer Discount

Deal has expired, view more Ebags deals by clicking here.

Topcashback is currently showing an increased portal rate for Ebags, valid today only:

  • 18.9% cash back sitewide
  • 27.3% cash back on Tumi products

For Tumi products this is as good as it gets. For everything else, 18.9% is still a solid rate for Ebags.

There’s also an Amex Offer available to get $20 back on $100 purchase or 2,000 Membership Rewards with $100 purchase. If you see both of those, you can save them both since it’s considered two separate offers.

Note, Ebags only allows using one gift card per purchase. Frequentmiler notes that if you have two Amex Offers, you can buy $100 Ebags gift card with one of them, then at checkout, apply that $100 gift card, and put the balance charge on your second Amex card, thus locking in the 20% discount on a $200 item. If you’re purchasing smaller items, you can – of course – just split up each item in a separate purchase.

If you never used Ebags before, use my referral link to sign up and we’ll each get a $10 credit.

Seems like TCB is advertising 30% off sitewide but then loads a 20% off sitewide code on the website. I’m guessing this is an error, anyone know how to get it fixed?

Thanks! Used 4 amex offers on two orders for some new winter coats (marmot is having 30% off right now). Also will see about these 4 luggage codes I received.

Yeah, I screwed that up. I bought a bunch of stuff in one lump purchase so only received one code. Hopefully others can make use of multiple codes by breaking up purchases 🙂

FYI: If you spend $100 or more, you’ll get a code by e-mail for a free luggage tag. It’s a gift card worth $7.75 and can be used on anything. I’m not sure if you can piggy-back these codes.

Just when I thought it didn’t worked I received that tracking notice. Hit the black Friday sale items for ~$112 post tax on Amex with promo. Originally had used code deals (30%) but cleared the cookies and input no code even though a different one appeared to default at check out. And now we wait.

I can not seem to get TCB to trigger 30% off with the current cashback of 18.9%. However, through eBates it does at 12% cashback. Depending on items (Everyday Value. Price as marked vs getting 30% off) and the total purchase amount of purchase the extra 6.9% might not be worth it.

Also, my experience with using a code not auto-populated by the cashback site is that TCB is the most strict about not offering cashback. I’ve done this with eBates and still received the cashback.

I have $10 in eBags rewards, can I apply that and still get the cashback?

Phil…in my experience… the answer is yes. As you’re checking out…that is a credit that Ebags takes off the price. That has nothing to do with any portal discount/coupon…John 3:16

Did you get TCB cashback when using the HONEY promo code?

Be careful, as portals like TCB often don’t offer cash back if a coupon is used that wasn’t explicitly linked from the portal. Ebags in particular plays the portal game heavily and seems to try to trick people into buying items or using coupons that can invalidate cash back

I’ve had eBags decline TCB cashback when putting in a code other than the one auto-populated by TCB at clickthrough. It all looks like it is going to go through and then it shows up declined with the following notation:
——————————-
eBags Cashback has been declined by the retailer

Estimated Payable: Declined
Order ID: 3000XXXX
Top Up amount: $0.00

This transaction has been declined, meaning the retailer feels that it is not eligible for cashback.

Unfortunately, we aren’t able to look into missing cashback claims for this retailer.

To view some possible reasons as to why the merchant has reached this decision, or to simply get some more information about declined cashback, please visit our Help Section.
——————————-

However, I’ve done the same thing with eBates and got the cashback.

This also stacks nicely with the $10 shoprunner promo, if you’re targeted.
