eBay: No Seller Fees For New Accounts Through June 30th & Free Basic Shop For 3 Months

The Offer

Direct link to offer (our affiliate link)

  • eBay is offering the following benefits to new businesses that sign up:
    • A free Basic eBay Store for three months
    • No selling fees through June 30 (up to 500 orders)

Our Verdict

The main problem with this is getting sales as a new store. eBay usually also throttles how many listings you can have when you first get started from memory as well. Still might be an option worth considering for those that need to try and increase their sales at this time.

BEWARE: After starting your new seller account, you need to wait 3-4 days for the promotion to be added to your account, BEFORE listing any items otherwise they will still be charged the selling fee. I learned this the hard way. Thankfully, I was able to protest and get a one-time courtesy credit, but lesson learned.

Doc does this apply to people who already have a personal eBay account? Can they convert their personal account to a business store and have those fees waived?

i second this question! My biggest question would be whether the feedback and account history etc carries over? Thanks

No and no. I opened a new account to get this promo and can confirm this offer isn’t targeted.
