It’s a shame that flights have to start/end in Dubai. Emirates recently became a transfer partner for Chase.

Book with AS Miles there, and then Chase UR transfer back?

Nothing to do with AS Miles or Chase; If you have Emirates Skyward Miles and are booking an award ticket from/to Dubai ; you get 25% discount on the normal emirates skyward miles required to pay for the ticket.

How so? You could say that about a lot of cities. Sure it’s mostly superficial but it’s safe and family friendly. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion I guess

You’re assuming that DoC shares your views on Dubai being a city-shaped toilet.

There’s plenty to do in Dubai. A lot of it just happens to require being indoors where there’s air-conditioning. My biggest gripe with Dubai is actually not the weather but the large income-inequality gap. If you’re just looking for a place to drop a deuce, then I suppose none of these things will really matter to you anyway.
