Our Verdict

Changing foods can make your pet sick, so always a good idea to mix in a bit of the new food with the old foot to get their gut accustomed to it. Personally I wouldn’t bother with this deal because of that, but if you live near a store that sells this you could always pick up the freebie and then donate it to a local shelter.

I have a bit of experience in the grocery industry and would like to take a moment to enlighten you about coupons in general. The amount of fraud is staggering, and stores have been burned by accepting computer printed “fake” coupons and then never receiving reimbursement. It is a delicate balance between not wanting to insult a customer by refusing a coupon but maintaining integrity as well. For that reason, even coupons with specific ID numbers printed on them from outlets like coupons.com may be rejected. The Essence offer William Charles posted is valid, and you should proceed to presenting the coupon in exchange for product if interested. However, due to the reasons expressed above please do not be offended if a specific store declines to redeem it, as they may have experienced financial damage in the past and had to adjust policy accordingly. Thank you.

Good food. My dog is too used to his current one, but I’ll donate this to a shelter!

Sold at mom&pop independent stores. I’d feel weird about trying to use this unofficially-sourced coupon there.

Coupon doesn’t appear on company website, link is to mail chimp hosting. Further, the visual of the coupon makes clear it was not intended for internet distribution. Looks like something a sales rep would hand out physically. I think any store accepting this is likely to get burned by manufacturer ie not reimbursed. Pass.

I agree – this doesn’t look like a typical internet-printed coupon. Sorry to say this but you might consider taking the post down @will…

It is right from the manufacturer, but I used a similar coupon in the past for food that only sells at high end independant stores, it was super awkward: store seemed skeptical the printed out coupon was valid, had no idea about the promo, felt sort of like I was pulling one over…
