Our Verdict
Same deal was offered last year as well. Â Marriott transfers at a rate of 3 Marriott points = 1 Etihad mile. You also get a 5,000 bonus when you transfer 60,000 points over. After this bonus you could transfer 60,000 Marriott points and receive 30,000 Etihad miles. Might be worth it for people that highly value Etihad miles.

Etihad miles on their own suck at redemption right? Hardly any Business/First class saver award availability….Guess no reason to transfer unless someone has a different opinion to share….

Guess i do not, but any info/insight provided by experts like you would be helpful and appreciated.
While not valuable on their own metal, partner redemptions offer a good value; e.g. on AA, provided you can find any AAward availability.
How would AA flights help, if one transfer to Etihad?
