Etihad Makes Changes To Miles Expiry (Now Expire After 18 Months Of No Activity, Rather Than Automatically At 24 Months)

Etihad has made changes to when miles expire, previously miles would expire automatically 24 months after being earned. Miles will now expire after 18 months if your account has no activity (earning or redeeming). The new policy should be significantly better for most loyalty members, although I guess there will be fringe cases where people will be six months worse off.

William Charles also worth mentioning the stealth deval brought up by pbjclimbing. That alone makes this celebration a rather moot point
