The Offer
- Discover cardholder can get $10 off $30 any Kohl’s purchase.
The minimum spend requirement isn’t actually enforced since the $10 code is applied like Kohl’s cash. It’s therefore possible to get up to $10 of stuff for free.
Here’s how to get the deal:
- Log into Discover
- Click Redeem Rewards
- Go to the Discover Deals tab
- Search for Kohl’s
- Pick “Kohl’s” (not “Kohl’s online”)
- You’ll see your unique Kohl’s code for $10 off
The Fine Print
- Expires 7/2/17
- You can use multiple of these $10 codes (e.g. if you have multiple Discover accounts); there might be a limit of four
- Can be used online (enter code & pin under Kohl’s Cash and Promos)
Our Verdict
This offer comes around monthly, and can be useful even if you don’t actually need Kohl’s credit as some people will exchange it for Amazon credit (usually $4-$6). Feel free to offer to buy/sell in the comments below. Exchange at your own risk.
Check out Oren’s handy guide on reselling with Kohl’s. Even if you don’t resell it’s worth reading as it’ll help you stack discounts to get even more value out of this bonus. They also have a clearance section with items under $10 for the lazy.
Hat tip to Slickdeals
Chuck, William,
Just FYI this is back for this month expires 08/06
I have the 10$ code and will email it for 5$ Amazon/Walmart GC.
Is anyone else surprised that Kohl’s hasn’t caught on yet and shut this down? They have to be losing a bunch of money every single month. Imagine if all Discover cardholders read DoC or SD?
I’m not so sure about that. Any promo is evaluated by cost and later the overall return. I posed this question to a CVS manager with regard to first-time curbside pickup customers who got $15 off $15 with a promo code advertised widely, even on the CVS website itself. He actually encouraged me to spend exactly $15 and take advantage of it! I asked why. His explanation is that anything that gets you in the habit of using a specific merchant is valuable marketing. True, in theory if everyone only did promos any business would go under. But look at the billions of airline miles given away in signup bonuses. There’s a cost, for sure. But CITI and CHASE aren’t losing as much as you think. And neither is Kohl’s. So enjoy, at least for the time being.
I am not seeing it in my Discover deals. Is it targeted?
Oh, never mind, I just saw your response to someone else. Does it matter which type of Discover card I have?
Haven’t tried this before. Thanks for the alert. Yet does it also work “in-store” as well — that is, “works like Kohl’s cash” — that I don’t actually need to buy $30 worth of goods? Or is that just with on-line transactions?
Same in store
@zeta – the deal is under Rewards/in-store offers…
I totally love these! I can pick up my order from Kohl’s on the way to and from work. This means I don’t have to worry about shipping charges. This month I had 2 x $10 and got 3 x $6.66 t-shirts because I’m slowing replacing all my old t-shirts. Now Kohl’s lets me do it for free!
Is this YMMV? I don’t see it in my Discover IT Card account
Yes, but most people will see it.
DOC, I have something to relay to you about this specific offer. How do I contact you privately? Thx.
