Get $10 Off At Amazon.com When You Use At Least One Chase UR Point To Pay

Update: I’m republishing this because it didn’t work for a lot of you previously, but is now working. If you’ve given it a try before, it’s worth trying again.

The Offer

  • Make a purchase at Amazon.com and use at least one Chase UR point to pay, enter the promo code SWP15CH10 and receive an instant discount of $10

amazon chase

The Fine Print

  • Valid until July 30th, 2015
  • Not everybody will be able to use this offer, seemingly randomly targeted
  • Products added to your cart must be sold and shipped by Amazon.com
  • Choose your enrolled Chase card as payment method and select “Use Your Chase Ultimate Rewards Points” to pay
  • You must use at least one Chase UR point to pay (rest of the order can be covered in cash)
  • If purchase is less than $10 it will be applied against the full order

Our Verdict

If you have a Chase UR point earning card (e.g Chase Freedom, Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Ink Plus) then you might as well see if the promo code works for you or not. It didn’t work for me, but if you contact Amazon customer service then it’s usually possible to get the promo added to your account.

Using Chase UR points for Amazon purchases is stupid, you only get 1¢ and you get that rate when you redeem for cash. It would make more sense to take advantage of one of the travel partners Chase UR has, or redeem for cash and then use a credit card that earns at a high rate on Amazon.com purchases.
