Get A Google Home Mini For $5 (or less) From Walmart After Discounts via Google Express

[Reposting 12/10/17 since it’s back in stock for $29 on Google Express.]

  • Buy a Google Home for $29 and get a free Walmart $25 off $25 coupon
  • If you’re a new user you can use promo code GET15OFF55 to get $15 off $55. Another option is to get $10 off $10 with our referral code ‘3RAQ963S4‘.
  • Use a credit card that has the Amex Offer to get $20/20k back on a $50 purchase

Sample Deal: Buy two Google Home minis and pay around $63 after tax. The $15 new user code will bring you down to around $48. Bump yourself up to $50 total (including all taxes and fees) to get $20 off with the Amex Offer bringing you down to $30. And then you’ll get two $25 credits to spend at Walmart.

American Express Offer

You spend $49 + tax and get $20 from the AmEx offer and another $25 towards Walmart. It should also be noted that some people are having the price adjust when ordering the Google Mini so that it falls under $50, might be a good idea to add an extra item or two to make sure this doesn’t happen.

Black Friday Offer

They are also offering a discount of $20 on starting on Black Friday. This will bring the price down to $29 + tax. There is no guarantee you’ll be able to get the offer via Google Express but if you can then you could do the following:

$50 in Walmart Google Express coupons for $38 and tax plus you get two Google home minis. If you can’t get them on Google Express then it’s still a good deal but you miss out on a $20 discount.

I didn’t get the Amex offer on Walmart (0/6). Bummer.

It’s not an Amex Offer on Walmart, but on Google Express ( Walmart is one of the stores available via Google Express.

sounds tempting but i’m already comitted to my alexa devices…this would create a WAR in my household.

I use both, but Google is starting to win.

@Jesse, why do you like Google better? I just got started with Alexa recently on a cheap Echo Dot and like it but wonder what you like about Google.

I have both and they are fairly comparable, with the Google Home being search and responses being a little bit better. With this deal I may be move completely over to just Google home myself. The big advantage of the Google only comes once you buy into Google services. For instance I can make a voice call from my Google Home and it shows up as my Google Voice number. I can also use the broadcast feature where I can tell my phone to have the Google Home announce to my wife know I am on the way home. I find that feature particularly handy, since she often leaves her phone on silent.

The thing with the Google mini that kills the deal for me is that you can’t attach it to your much better bluetooth speaker. I mainly use Echo dot for music bluetooth’ed to a nice speaker. I guess there’s a way for the mini to connect to an external speaker via Chromecast or something like that, but that’s way too much effort for me.

I agree with you Jesse! I have 2 Alexa & Google OK kicks but!!! Ask Alexa to repeat after you? nothing! Ask Google OK to repeat after you and read a paragraph online. She DOESN”T MISS A BEAT! I counted and she remembers beyond 100 words to repeat after you. I even cussed her out and she cussed back! Now that’s good humor! I wind up buying 4 Google Mini and kept two for myself. I am bringing her into the office! Repeat after me!

Typo, meant to say “Ok, Google!

Some people in the other thread were saying that the price was adjusting so it wasn’t hitting $50, is this confirmed? So just buying one Google home mini won’t trigger the amex offer?

Can confirm that the price was above $53.41 in the cart and checkout, and after the item was shipped, the bill was adjusted for $49.00. I guess need to return the first order and order another one!

Does this stick with either

buy any google home product and save $25 on a future walmart order

get $10 off order of $40 + ? (first time customer)

MY HEAD IS EXPLODING trying to follow the instructions on this one…..can someone please explain it again as if you were talking to a 5 year old….maybe then I can understand exactly what to do…..thank you in advance and may God Bless You

I did this deal during black friday. Here’s how:

1. Buy a google home/google home mini at walmart (there will be a sticker with the link to the promotion)
2. Once you purchase, you must have/create a account & google express account.
3. Set up your devices onto your google express
4. Link these two accounts (I believe on google express there’s a button you click to link)
5. My offers didn’t show up til 1-2 days later but i read some people had theirs post either immediately or within the hour.
6. Shop and get $25/$50 off your order and list those codes to get even more off.

And also note, the price for my order was adjusted. My total price after purchasing everything was like $5 then I checked my Google Express orders and my bank statement and it was reduced to $1.86.

Hope this helps!

What a great deal if you can make it work with the BF prices.

Can anybody throw some light on all these smart devices Alexa/Echo/ Home/Dot/Tap and other similar devices. I have been looking to add smart tech to my house, and with BF and deals like these coming up, it will be great to know the differences in the above devices.

Pretty much all of these are small computers that have a version of Android as operating system.
Your android phone can do all that these gadgets do, set alarm, play music, check weather, reminders. Except these have no screen or keyboard. The input/interface is always through voice commands. Output is also sound only, music, response, etc. With the Eccho/Alexa stuff you have some commands specific to Amazon, like “order this crap i do not need for me”, and it will place an order for “crap”.

In terms of adding smart stuff to your home: these can be setup to give orders to other appliances or switches, but those appliances and/or switches should be already able to get input via wifi or bluetooth. None come cheap.

Term says , we need to buy the home mini from walmart and then link walmart account to mini to get the 25$ coupon.

Now the question is how do they enforce it by verifying the device is from walmart ? BF has better deals on mini from Best buy , target for the same price + 10$ gift card.

If we can combine device deals from other retailers and walmart coupon , then without amex offer u gain 5$ . Thats the deal.

Had exact same question as well . Wonder if getting it from Target would work .. going to give it a shot later today …

Did you try that? Did it work?

Looks like you can get a $10 off $40 promo if you’re new to Google Express. Just expand the promo section during checkout. You’ll need to stay above the $50 threshold, so add another item so your total is $60+ before the promo discount.

Does this Google Mini work without Google Home since I don’t have the big home device?

Yes, the mini works as a standalone Google Home. The only difference between the big Google Home and the mini is the size and quality of the speaker.

Thanks. Got one.

Can you get the $25 credit through Walmart again if I’ve already gotten a mini and used the $25?

Anyone know if shopping at Walmart through Google Express reflects real time in stock items on or only select items? The Walmart home page says that they will be selling SNES Classics the next three days (11/15-11/17) at 11 AM PST. Would be awesome if you could combine with the Google Express offer.

I’m a little bit confused about how this offer works on the Walmart side. I went ahead and bought one using my AmEx SPG, then bought another one using my wife’s AmEx Delta.

That’s pretty straightforward. We get $20 statement credit on each card, bringing our cost for each Google Home Mini down to $30.

Now, it says that the $25 from Walmart thing is two per household, so does that mean that once we link each Google home mini to Walmart, we’ll snag two $25 credits?

Will we have to link each Google Home Mini to separate Google accounts? In the terms, it says Promotion Credits are limited to one per user, which would suggest that we’ll have to link each google home mini to separate Google accounts – which I don’t even understand how that would work.

$50 in Walmart Google Express coupons for $38 and tax plus you get two Google home minis. If you can’t get them on Google Express then it’s still a good deal but you miss out on a $20 discount.

Should not it read as $50 in Walmart Google Express coupons for $48.

As you are buying 2 mini ($49*2=S98 – (2*$25 coupons)=$48)

The deal is live! Website had extra $10 off code for being new to Google Express.

2 x Google Home Mini Smart Speaker – Chalk $29.00

Items = $58.00
Tax = $4.50
Subtotal = $62.50
Coupon credits = -$10.00
Order total = $52.50

This triggered the Amex offer, so new total is $32.50. When I get the devices, I’ll link them to my Wal-Mart account and have $50 worth of credit for shopping at Wal-Mart. Thanks, Doc!

Trouble getting the $10 code to work anyone else?
