Google Play: $5 or $10 Free in Audiobooks Credit

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

Google Play began selling audiobooks earlier this year. They’re now running a special offer:

  • Get $10 in free audiobooks credit
  • Get $5 in free audiobooks credit

The Fine Print

  • Discount applied at checkout
  • Price must be at least $5.01 to use the $5 credit and $10.01 to use the $10 credit
  • Expiration date will show when you accept the offer (it’s around a month later)

Our Verdict

Seems like almost everyone is getting at least $5. You’ll end up paying a few cents in tax or whatever, but should be possible to get something almost free. I’ve never used Google Play for audiobooks before, maybe I’ll try it out now.

Is there any way to combine two $5-6 books for a $10 credit?

It appears it is only for your first lifetime purchase of an audiobook from the Play Store. I’ve purchased on before, and the offer doesn’t show for me.

I tapped back on my Android phone and it then showed a $3 off $3+ ebooks deal

Any recommendations?

I can’t find any audiobooks less than $14.

Chuck posted this one, not me. My phone is pretty minimal apart from a few apps I use regularly. I’ll often download apps for a bonus and then remove them.

Lol…and I thought I was the only one!! I may keep the Speedpass app because it keeps me from having to physically put my card in the pump. Too risky… especially in my area… John 3:16
