Our Verdict
Looks like the bonus card is basically just a regular gift card unlike some other deals we see. This is a fantastic discount for GrubHub and these gift cards can also be used in conjunction with GrubHub promo codes.
So of course I forgot to use the bonus card by the expiration date. Anyone have luck getting it back from CS?
So I purchased 1 gift card for $20, but just noticed that GrubHub charged me NINE TIMES for a total charge of $180. WTF.

Grubhub is really bad, somehow I have to deal with them once a month for a $10 food credit for Amex gold.
Amex has shady friends.
They used to be decent, but after their sale to Just Eats, they have gotten a lot worse. Drivers hate them, Customers hate them, Restaurants hate them.
I thought they just got Grubhub guaranteed, promised to deliver within 20-30 minutes. Much faster than Uber Eats which sometimes will wait for 1-2 hours
Ordered and been about ~25 minutes, no gift cards yet, but it does show the order in their system when I go to order history – so hopefully their servers are just slammed right now…
I did this promotion when it was available last. When I try again (with same email and card): “You have already redeemed this promotion. Would you like to go back and edit your cart or complete your purchase without the promotion?”
I also tried just now. I got an even weirder message – payment declined, although my paypal was charged. And of course I did not get any GCs from grubhub.

Yup, my payment kept on getting declined and after changing two cards, third card gave you have redeemed this promotion message.
Its the same promo, they just refreshed their stock. And terms say “Limit one $10 bonus card per user”.

Can confirm that the promotion still works as of now. Just placed an order of $20 and received a bonus of $10 immediately by email.
time is 11:00am EST 11/28 now and deal seems to be over. I got my way to avoid their so called one bonus per customer as I found out what is defined as a customer, I ended up getting 3 cards of $20 and 3 bonus cards of $10. It allowed me to use a giftcard/prepaid card to make a purchase. And about promotion code, that is to be used when you check out to place an order. Promotion code and gift card are always paired perfectly fine.
Hm, ordered at 5:30pm ET on Friday and I still haven’t received the gift cards 8 hours later.

I ended up getting them a few minutes after posting my comment, however, I noticed there are 5 pending $20 transactions on my card…
