Harris Teet has launched a credit card called ‘Harris Teeter REWARDS World Mastercard‘.
Contents
Card Basics
- Sign up bonus of $30 statement credit after first purchase (must sign up by October 31st, 2018 and make first purchase by December 15th, 2018)
- Card earns at the following rates:
- Earn 1 point per eligible net $1 spend on every day purchases anywhere Mastercard® is accepted
- Earn 2 points per eligible net $1 spend inside Harris Teeter stores
- Earn 3 points per eligible net $1 spend on Harris Teeter Own Brand Products
- No annual fee
- 1,000 points = $10 in rewards. Rewards are issued in February, May, August and November
Our Verdict
I don’t see any use for this card at all, other cards earn 3%+ on all grocery store purchases and come with bigger sign up bonuses.
Hat tip to PF Digest on Twitter
I’d literally never heard of Harris Teeter before, at first glance, I thought this post was about BMO Harris Bank. But, from a quick Google search, I learned that Harris Teeter is a grocery chain owned by Kroger, so it’s interesting that they’re getting their own co-branded credit card, since Kroger already has their own. Then again, both are issued by US Bank, so they’re still keeping it in the family to a degree.
Not that it’s wise to MS on U.S Bank cards, but they obviously now have level 3 data here if they can isolate private lable.
Perhaps they will add a bonus once they see no one is signing up for the card 😛
[removed comment. We’ve asked you multiple times to stop spamming other card offers in unrelated threads. Please stop doing it]
Dude you spam new card posts with these trash CU cards every time. Quit it. You forget to mention one big drawback with these cards you push… YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE CU. Goodluck with chargebacks or any billing disputes you have going round and around with these CUs
This credit union has been very cool with me, saved more than $100 since I got the credit card last January, so viva la credit unions!!!
saved more than $100? I’ve saved maybe more than $10,000 with big bank CCs in the last 18months LOL
Well like supporting credit unions, besides I saved more than $100 with Golden 1 credit union, $500 with Penfed credit union power cash visa signature credit card, $200 with Vantage West credit union connect visa signature credit card, $300 with Fort Knox federal credit union platinum rewards Visa credit card, and all this without annual fees.
Of course I dont spend or make as much as you, but I am happy and satisfied!
David,
I support CU too. 3 PenFed cc, 1 Navy FCU, 1 Andrews FCU, 1 UNFCU, 1 RBFCU, 1 NASA. But hijacking and spamming every single article is not very mature.
Will & Chuck
Just simply delete his comments. Better yet, block him.
No one is forcing you to read my comments, and some of the other readers wanted to know more of the Golden 1 credit union platinum rewards visa credit card.
The world doesn’t revolve around you Eric, and Will and Chuck I’d like to think believe in the freedom of speech and expression and flow of discourse, unlike you Eric.
There are comments I do not like, namely yours, Eric. But I do not cry to Will and Chuck to systematically silence and block you and others who are like you.
This is a private blog, you’re not entitled to Freedom of Speech here especially when you’re spamming the same content over and over again. It’s unhelpful and we’ve repeatedly asked you to stop doing it. If you want to point our better cards, you’re welcome to do so but something as such as “I think the credit card offer by is better because it earns at a higher rate on grocery store purchases” is useful (even if it parrots what’s already in this post). Copying and pasting details of four-five different credit cards is not useful and as mentioned we’ve had to warn you repeatedly to stop doing it.
If you can’t follow these simple rules, you’re not welcome to post comments any longer.
Ok so next time I’ll do a limerick like:
I think the Golden 1 credit card offer is better because it earns at a higher rate on grocery store purchases!
And we all live happily ever after until you or Erick arbitrarily call the aforementioned above “spam”, funny you call freedom of speech an entitlement rather than a natural inallienable right, but not unexpected from you, after all you’re an Edomite.
Well this blog has lots of egg shells to avoid, and hypersensitivity people to compitulate to!! Whew!

Freedom of speech on this blog is absolutely an entitlement. Do you think we should keep comments that are obvious spam that try to trick readers into revealing their sensitive financial information? You can call me an [removed] or snowflake or anything else you like. I’ve asked you several times not to do something and you continue to do it and then complain. If you don’t want to follow the rules, stop reading the blog and stop commenting. I certainly won’t miss your useless contributions.
Edited to make clear: I’m not saying you make comments that try to trick readers. I’m saying other people do and they are moderated appropriately.
You really have shown your red horns haven’t you, [removed]. I have made some contributions i.e. telling you about the Penfed credit union union Pathfinder Amex credit card. Boy you really are a hateful and ungrateful brat who quickly forgets about the good I have done.
Now you want to accuse me of tricking people into revealing their sensitive financial information? What a slanderous unsubstantiated accusations!! That is a very serious accusation! When have I ever try to glean private financial information? My goodness you are a dishonorable person who makes such false accusations!
And Esau was a designing and deceitful man, one who hunted after the hearts of men and inveigled them, and Esau was a valiant man in the field, and in the course of time went as usual to hunt; and he came as far as the field of Se’iyr, the same is Edom. Yashar 28:20
Wow, now the readers see you for who you really are William Charles.
Oh by the way, not all laws are just laws, never use the state as a barometer for morality.
That false accusation could land you in court! Know you station [removed]!
Now you want to accuse me of tricking people into revealing their sensitive financial information?
No, I wasn’t accusing you of doing that at all. I was saying others make spam comments doing this. If total and absolute free speech was in place we would not moderate these comments. You’re not entitled to free speech on this blog. We have rules and I’ve attempted to enforce these rules with you before, you’ve refused to do so so I edited your comment to attempt to keep the post on topic. Appreciate the rest of the condescending comment though.
William you were accusing him of stealing peoples financial information and then you said you weren’t accusing him of that?? Sounds like double speak!! “Do you think we should keep comments that are obvious spam that try to trick readers into revealing their sensitive financial information?” Your quote. Can you explain this? Do you have proof he was stealing information from others, you cannot make a blanket accusation and say all spammers are thieves without proof. You should at least apologize
You need to read my comment in context. We were talking about free speech and I was asking, should we keep all comments even those that attempt to reveal sensitive financial information? I wasn’t suggesting that he was posting those comments but I will apologize if that’s how others have read it. I’ve edited the comment to make it clearer.
A better example would have been: if people constantly make off topic comments should those comments be removed or edited?
