- American Airlines has sent out an e-mail to some members offering them Platinum status through December 22nd, 2017. You can go to the above link and enter HVPRG but the vast majority of people won’t be targeted.
- You can extend the status through January 31st, 2019 by earning 12,500 Elite Qualifying Miles (EQMs) and $2,000 Elite Qualifying Dollars (EQDs) on American or other eligible airlines for travel between the date you register and December 22, 2017

- This is an exclusive offer only for members who received a letter directly from American Airlines. You must register by 11:59 pm CT October 2, 2017 and prior to travel in order for your Elite Qualifying Miles (EQMs) and Elite Qualifying Dollars (EQDs) to count toward this promotion.

Entering my info brought me to a page to enter the promo code, but haven’t received one in the mail to my knowledge. Is getting to the enter promo code page a sign that I might have been targeted but just missed the mailer? (my parents tend to throw out all my promo mail and don’t tell me about it). Did receive the gold status promo a few months ago.
I am on the same boat. Anyone have a promo code?

I was targeted for Gold status to late December. Not sure if this is relevant to being targeted, but I previously had Gold status but lost it earlier this year
i got the Gold offer too. I’ve never had AA status. Kind of nice, but don’t currently have plans to fly AA in the coming months, and this won’t influence my decision like the Admirals Club access I used to have from Prestige used to.
The interesting thing is the offer is if you accrue 7K miles/$1K dollars, then not only do you get the status extended a year but you get 25K miles as well. If I had a couple work trips to do that could be very interesting.
I received a similar offer as a targeted email, but for gold status instead of platinum.
I did, too, back in July. I travelled and used about 5 upgrades but just can’t reach $1K EQMs by 22Sept, to continue.

I got targeted for PlatinumPro through to late December. Shame I have no flights scheduled for the rest of the year
