Hilton Launches ‘Confirmed Connecting Rooms’

Hilton has unveiled a new booking featured called ‘confirmed connecting rooms‘. Now when you book two rooms you can confirm that they are connecting or adjoining at time of booking, rather than waiting until check in (and hoping) that they are.

Honestly this is a huge improvement for families or really anybody needing connecting rooms. I used to call up to try to get it added to my reservation but that didn’t always work, this makes things much easier.

Just been informed by the hotel (Home2 Suites Anaheim) that this is not a guarantee of connecting rooms availability. There is no compensation if your reservation cannot be honored. Hilton.com allows me to book connecting rooms for my dates, but when I called the hotel desk I was informed that there are no connecting rooms available on that date. So proceed with caution for busier destinations?

I never knew this required confirmation? That’s such a strange thing to not know until check-in. I recently booked connecting rooms for the first time and I guess it was in place since I didn’t get any message about having to confirm later.

Now if only there was a way to specifically request NOT to be booked into a connecting room. The person next to us is always loud and keeps us up at night.

Ken, I agree! But it my case it’s my 3 kids in the room next to us so I guess I have only myself to blame.

AND you still CAN’T book FNCs on their website… priorities priorities, Hilton! lol
Any upgrade to online interface is a plus on my book.

That is a fantastic. I can already see it in the app, when you select two rooms on your search it shows a “Connecting Rooms” selection in the results so you can filter your options. Great Feature.

Definitely helpful. With a family of 5, it’s getting harder and harder with a single room

I don’t use adjoining rooms and rather not every be assigned to an adjoining room, so hopefully they keep these rooms aside and non-bookable except for folks who want them. That would be a win win situation.

Given they’re offering this feature, I imagine they’d want to initially hold off on offering them to single room guests. If they run out of non-connected rooms, then they’d start offering one of a connected pair to single room guests, much like if all other rooms are booked up, you may end up in an accessible room.

Great point. I just had an adjoining room at the Confidante, and I could see the light from my neighbors room from under the ‘closet’ door adjoining us, and I easily heard them come home drunk and giggling at 11:30 pm. Shoving a towel under there helped with the light at least. Could be a win all around.

This is awesome news for families. Hopefully it’s easy to book. I can see availability being tough to find.

Hotel chains have lost a lot of my business to airbnb over the years by not having this. Far easier to rent a 2-bedroom place than deal with the stress of adjoining rooms not working out.
