Hong Kong Has Closed The Borders To All Non Residents, Including Transiting Passengers

Hong Kong has announced it will close the borders to all non residents, including transiting passengers starting Tuesday midnight local time. For now this ban is being put in place for two weeks. The exception is passengers arriving from mainland China, Macau or Taiwan as long as they haven’t traveled anywhere else in the last 14 days. Singapore introduced a similar ban yesterday.

Doc – with all due respect Hong Kong is part of China and shouldn’t be paralleled with the word China. Mainland China is the more appropriate use.

Taiwan is officially known as the ROC – Republic of China. Not to be confused with PRC; mainland.
