Sorry no box heading to Costco now
Samsung pay is offering 16% cash back until 10/14 at Boxed. John 3:16
Suggested edit: As someone else mentioned, Rakuten is 1%. FYI William Charles
Ibotta is at 10%.
TCB is at 6%, and offered me a targeted $2.50 for any order over $10 at any store this weekend, ending tonight. Must opt in.
Ibotta 10% is the first time only. TCB often rejects if promo codes used
If you have never used Boxed before (like me), you can use a referral link and get $15 off $60. However, it doesn’t stack with the 15% codes off that I have found. TRYBOXED15 works without using someones link if you are a new customer… I found this out because the referral link I used was maxed, so they couldn’t get the $15 but I still could.
These codes did not stack with the new customer $15: LOVEBULK, CHIEH15 or APP15.
I would be upset if the cashback stack doesn’t work… so might be taking a pass.
This reminds me a lot of the Google Shopping codes that were a big deal awhile back, but really, the discount isn’t that exciting to me. But I don’t particularly like bulk shopping because most things do expire.
Also, Halloween Goodie Bag is OOS.
sam pay is up to 16% for me, so even better than 6% (currently available) or 12% from yesterday
waste of time as everything is overpriced.
I sort of agree… you are paying for convenience. This deal makes the stuff normal priced but getting door service.
Exactly. I’ve done the math before and after a ton of calculations and looking for the ideal combinations of products…I should’ve just gone to Sam’s Club or Aldi and not wasted all the time deciding what to buy. Nor contributed to more consumer shipping environmental costs.
Not to mention that you still have to make a trip to the store for anything fresh. I don’t find that boxed really reduces the amount of trips to the store I need to make.
Boxed sells USPS postage stamps
Also 40 AAA batteries for $9.99
and 40 AA batteries for $13.99
And they will last half the time as a decent battery if you’re lucky. Like getting a 20 pack of Duracell.
The Amex 20/75 offer is probably dependent on whether you have done it in the past and how many times as well.. I got the offer on 3 cards, but its not 20 back. On one card its 15 off 75 and on 2 others its 10 off 75. Even with the 20 off 75 and CB things are a bit overpriced as compared to Amazon/Sams/Costco.
Same here, also noitced that I bought things I wouldn’t have otherwise bought in order to trigger the boxed offer/stack.
Gonna let the 15/75 “offer”(ad) expire on my card.
I bought trail mix and mixed nuts from them. They sold crap, probably many years old. Tasted horrible. Boxed is shit. Paying extra for shit. How are they still in business?
Amex infusing cash in it. Thats why they push all these offers. You are right about quality. Even with all the stacking, it is not worth the effort when i can just go to Costco and end up with same price and also can pick myself the stuff that looks still good. To bad, i had hopes this would be a good alternative to Amazon.
Money not spent on impulse purchases or unplanned items, and getting out of Costco and not spending $200:
Priceless (and you earn Amex MR).
So only shop same items I buy in bulk at Costco, delivered to the house, stack it’s a decent deal – never gotten anything out if date or near to expiring.
i tried their nuts 6 months ago, totally gross
They’re probably selling stuff that is old/expired. For things that go bad (nuts get oxidized with age) it sounds like they’re not a good source. For dry goods (TP, kleenex etc) maybe that’s a better way to use the credits.
What was the expiration on the items? Worried as I just placed an order only with nuts yesterday. Curious if the items were expired or if something else was the issue.
They are backed by VC investors like WeWork, Uber and Lyft were so making money has been optional. I have also found them to be overpriced compared to the grocery store, not to mention other bulk places like Sam’s and Costco and I still need a trip to the store to get fresh produce.
As a more general comment, I can’t imagine that the economics of shipping single packages of food items is sustainable. Massive packaging waste, questionable freshness, and excessive cost seem to be the rule rather than exception.
> Tasted horrible.
Awesome, congrats!
How do you use the Boxed App and still go through a portal?
The code works when using a computer.
Ebates has an app. So does Ibotta. Those are the two I use for app only offers.
