You could pay $100 AF for Barclay JetBlue Plus credit card for one checked bag. The cost of the carry on bag is the same as checked bag $35 per leg. Blue Basic and Blue you need to pay for carry on bag or checked bag. You need Blue Plus seat for carry on bag or checked bag. I found it was more cost effective to buy Blue Plus seat for family than Blue Basic when they wanted to bring both carry on and checked bags.
Yes, that is why I have been flying Delta Airlines between BOS and TPA. Those are the two popular airlines for direct flights. I keep debating using my Chase UR points for Delta Airlines flights or getting a JetBlue Plus credit card. I got tired of vendors not accepting AMEX in USA and especially when I traveled in Asia and Africa.

I would fly Spirit, Frontier, or Alegiant before I would fly with JetBlue.

JetBlue is consistently rated fairly high in the US for customer satisfaction. Like, legitimately, at the top of a lot of lists.

Did you have a particularly bad experience?

Not Jason Smith, but I try my best to avoid JetBlue after Ben Baldanza sat on the board in 2017. Flights are consistently more late or cancelled, baggage gets mishandled, and employees are generally stressed and overworked. It’s not the same airline after Ben started applying the same cost cutting to drive profits at the expense of employee and customer experience.

I 2nd that! Although it’s rated low among airlines, but my transatlantic flights to LA to NY and back LA, have been seamless since 2019. I’m loyal fan, yes there have been some changes, but it’s worked itself out and love my JB CC!
