JetBlue announced a number of temporary enhancements to their TrueBlue program and credit card rewards:

  1. TrueBlue Program Extends Current Mosaic Benefits through 2021
  2. Reduces Mosaic Requirements for 2020
  3. Ability to Gift Mosaic Status
  4. For a Limited Time, all TrueBlue Members can Earn Double TrueBlue Points for New Ticket Bookings
  5. For a Limited Time, JetBlue Mastercard members can Earn Double TrueBlue Points on Everyday Purchases

Mosaic Status Extension

JetBlue is extending status of all current Mosaic customers through 2021, whether status was obtained through travel or spend on the JetBlue Plus Card. The extension period has been updated in customers’ TrueBlue accounts.

Gifting Mosaic Status

JetBlue is providing current Mosaic members with a chance to give the gift of Mosaic to someone on their next vacation. The nominated Mosaic will enjoy all travel perks for one year on all of their JetBlue flights. Benefits include no change or cancel fees, first and second bag free, early boarding, a complimentary alcoholic beverage onboard and more.

Mosaic customers must share the nominated Mosaic’s details with JetBlue here by June 1, 2020. Nominated Mosaics must be a TrueBlue member. Nominated statuses will be in effect from June 15, 2020 through June 15, 2021.

Mosaic Status 2020

JetBlue is reducing the qualifying points and segment minimums by 50% for Mosaic level qualification. Mosaic customers will continue to receive an award of 15,000 bonus TrueBlue points upon qualification.

Reduced thresholds:

  • 7,500 qualifying points (vs. 15,000 points for the calendar year)
  • 6,000 qualifying points and 15 segments (vs. 12,000 points and 30 segments)

Double Points On New Bookings

For all travel booked through June 15 for flights May 14, 2020 or later, JetBlue will double the TrueBlue base point award on all reservations. For Blue Basic fares, that’s two points per $1 (instead of 1 point). For other fares including Mint, that’s six points per $1 (instead of 3 points).

Double Points On JetBlue Mastercard

From May 14 through June 15, 2020, cardmembers will have their earn on all non-category purchases increased to 2X points per dollar spent. Terms and Conditions apply.

Wrap Up

Good to see JetBlue come along with the Mosaic extension. Some other useful enhancements here as well.

Is this only with the personal card? How about the business card?

As per the terms for the 2X points promotion, the extra points will be credited 6-8 weeks after the promotion ends (June 15).

Very generous offer.

If anyone does have Mosaic and does not know of someone who can use it, I would be grateful to get a nomination.

Wouldn’t we all. Now if only you could tap into the thousands of non-churners / non-dealseekers who earned Mosaic through organic travel and would never read a blog like this one (or their emails from Mastercard) and don’t even have a clue they can nominate!

Yes!!! Been waiting for this! This is the only airline I care about..I truly don’t care about status on any of the legacies. I hope Russ is correct re: those of us who got Mosaic thru spending $50K on our credit card in ’19!!

So if we could MS 50k on a JB CC before to achieve Mosaic, now we only need to MS 25k?

It doesn’t say that but at least you would earn 2x the number of points while MS’ing

No, you still have to spend $50k to get Mosaic if you don’t already have it.

But if you already have Mosaic from spending $50k in 2019, it will carry through to the end of 2021, so you can sock drawer your B6 card till 2021.

wouldn’t it better to close the card, wait however many months, and reapply for the bonus again? edit: guess not – just read bonus is for first time cardmembers. thought it was repeatable.

Just checked with Barclays, the $50K spend threshold is unaffected by this change
