The Fine Print

  • Valid until February 3rd, 2020
  • The use of TopCashback.com is still bound by the standard Terms and Conditions and existing Tell-A-Friend Terms & Conditions.
  • We reserve the right to void your eligibility for the Double Tell-A-Friend sign up bonus if we believe you are not a genuine, new TopCashback member.
  • Upon joining TopCashback.com in this time period via a referral link, you will be eligible for $30 cash back being added to your account.

  • If you join TopCashback from a referral/Tell-A-Friend link during this promotional period, your $30 sign-up credit will not count towards the $10 threshold you need to reach before yours or your friend’s Tell-A-Friend bonus will become Payable.

Our Verdict

The best ever offer was $35, I’m not sure if/when they will offer that again so this might be worth doing for some people without accounts already. One of the reasons I love Topcashback is they have the same mindset as we do, they give users 100% of a store’s commission back as cash back. They make money through separate advertising banners  ‘our list stores’ among other ways. I find that Topcashback rates are consistently better than other shopping portals and it’s the portal I use the most often.

If you want to see more brands & websites offer our readers increased bonuses like this then there are two things you can do:

  • Sign up if you don’t have have an account
  • Share this with others

You can view our full review of Topcashback by clicking here. I know some readers have had issues in the past, keep in mind money earned from Topcashback doesn’t become payable until they receive the money from the merchant so the wait times can be longer than other sites. I think the increased cashback rates are worth the wait times, but YMMV. As always make sure you follow our tips to ensure portals track correctly. If you have any unresolved issues with TCB then send an e-mail to [email protected].

I’ve had no trouble receiving cash back on purchases. Granted it was only two. One for about $50 and another for $20. P2 got hers as well. It takes a little while but no biggie.

TCB tracks really well and fast. 40/40 for me so far in about an year. However, as warned in this post, the wait period for payment to become available is really horrible – an average of 12 weeks and some going up to 20 weeks!

Hi there,
Unlike other cashback portals, TCB do not limit you to quarterly payouts. So with other sites you may feel that cashback can be quicker to progress as the transaction may be in your account, but you then have to wait for minimum balance thresholds to be met and you then may have to wait 4 months for your check. TCB make cashback payable as soon as the retailer awards the funds and will not impose any restrictions on minimum amounts or keep you waiting for a quarterly check. So basically, as soon as TCB receive the funds from the retailer, you can request payment for it immediately.

I’m confused, does that mean you need to shop enough through Topcashback to earn the $10 by Feb 3rd to earn the $30 bonus? Or do we just need to sign up by Feb 3rd, and once we shop enough to earn $10 (could take months), then the $30 bonus will be credited?

I’ve never used this site, but frequently use Ebates/Rakuten. Looks like it operates very similarly.

The latter. Once you sign up before Feb 3rd you will lock in the $30 bonus. You can then redeem the bonus once you accumulate at least $10 of cashback.

Hey,
I can see why you’d do it, but any multiple accounts created by one member would be terminated for violating TCB’s terms of service. Only one account per-member is permitted.

What is the deal with this  William Charles ? Your post of “TopCashBack.com Review – Is It A Scam Or Legit?” the comments from your actual users are 90% reporting that they aren’t getting cash back and they feel scammed, yet each time they have a deal like this you post to promote them. Why not let them prove themselves reputable? Your review consisted of “Hur dur I did like 3 transactions and they went fine so it’s a-okay with me!”, hardly anything.

Love the site and love you but your relationship with this company is questionable in the sea of other good things you do for us.

People who have problems tend to post comments (I also suspect that that post is mostly from Google traffic, not regular readers). From my friends and myself I can say that most of us find Topcashback works most of the time, like any other portal. There’s always problems that crop up with portals, sometimes due to fault of the portal and sometimes due to fault on the user.

I’m a reader who has had much issues with TCB. They pay out well on small dollar amounts but I’ve been screwed too many times on the big ones.
Trying to get any worthwhile response from them is useless. They always blame the merchant and I’m left with no recourse.
I’ll take the always dependable Rakuten. Even if payout % is less. It is more than made up for in better customer service, increased value of Amex reward points, and reliable payouts.
I’m with ap. I love your site too but don’t understand your love affair with TCB. It does undermine your credibility.

I think if you look over all the sites on the web you will find overwhelming TCB gets shittier reviews than any other portal.
I’m not talking single data point.

Hi Fathiss,
As with all review sites, sadly people are more inclined to offer a review on the rare occasion they have a negative experience, but on the whole TCB have an excellent TrustPilot rating and if our members are ever in need of help, we have a support team on hand for any issues you may wish to have clarified.

Hi Fathiss,
I’m sorry to hear you’ve had issues using TCB. Cashback is always validated by the retailers, so it is the retailer who will have the final say on eligibility for cashback. TCB do not ‘blame’ the retailer, but if you haven’t met the retailer’s terms for cashback, they will decline it. But if you’d like any further clarification please feel free to get in touch with our support team.

I’m confused. The deets say the $35 offer is no longer available (” I’m not sure if/when they will offer that again so this might be worth doing for some people without accounts already”), but in that original $35 offer, you say ” The reason the bonus is higher than normal is that we don’t receive anything if you sign up for this offer, instead we’ve passed the full $35 to our readers.” So is this just $5 less because of you taking a referral fee this time?

Also, the details STILL say it’s $35 … not sure what’s happening to the other $5:

Valid until February 3rd, 2020

Hi there,
This would be a $30 sign-up bonus as long as all terms and conditions are met. DOC does not take a cut of any referral bonus offered by TCB, this is all passed to the member to boost their sign-up bonus.

Hi Jim,
Certainly spouses can have separate accounts! This is no problem at all. The only restriction is on members creating multiple accounts for themselves.
Hope this helps 🙂
