Direct Link / Rebate Link (links in this post contain our affiliate link)

  • Kohl’s is offering a $14 rebate on eight different small appliance items.
  • Each item can get up to 5 rebates per product for a total of 40 rebates.
  • The items are on sale for $19 instead of $30, and the $14 rebate brings down the cost to just $5 each. See below for more stacking.

List of items:

  1. Electric chopper
  2. 2-Slice toaster
  3. Hand mixer
  4. Mini blender
  5. Electric can opener
  6. Electric knife
  7. Coffee maker
  8. Slow cooker 1.5-qt / 20-oz Slow cooker

Stacking the Deal

Shipping is free with $75 order. Alternatively, you can use store pickup to get it free.

  • Text SAVE24 to 56457 and you’ll get a 15% off promo code offer. That brings down the cost to just $2.14 per item after rebate!
  • $10 in Kohl’s Cash per $50 in purchases. This will be redeemable April 30 – May 5.
  • Ebates is offering 6% back at Kohl’s which is the best rate at the time of this printing – check all rates here (if you’re new to Ebates, here’s my Ebates referral link, thanks)
  • $10 in Yes2You Rewards per $100 in purchases if you are signed up for Yes2You
  • Buy discounted gift cards for further discount.
  • Let us know if there are any other stacking options.

The Math: If you max out all 40 items, you’ll pay $645.66 after the 15% promo code discount (plus sales tax). You’ll get back $560 with the rebate. You’ll also get $180 in Kohl’s Cash ($120 + $60 Yes2You), credit card points, and potentially discounted gift cards. Hopefully, you’ll get back $38.74 from Ebates.

The Fine Print

  • Purchase must be made in store or online between 4/25/18 and 4/29/18.
  • Rebate must be postmarked by 5/29/18.

  • Offer good only in USA.
  • Rebates will be issued in US dollars, in the form of a Visa prepaid card or check.

  • Rebate check expires if not cashed within 90 days of the check date, after which time Kohl’s will have no further obligation to you.
  • Rewards totaling $10 or more will be issued in the form of a Kohl’s Visa Prepaid Card.
  • Your card is issued by MetaBankTM, Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. Cards can be used at any merchants that accept Visa debit cards. The Visa prepaid card is not redeemable for cash or usable at any ATM.
  • Allow 8 weeks for receipt of reward.
  • For rebate inquiries, call 888-976-8104 or visit www.kohlsrebates.com, where you can also check your rebate status.

Our Verdict

Very similar to the deal last September. Overall it should become profitable even without getting any benefit from the items themselves, albeit with the hassle of dealing with submitting the rebates. You only need to send in one envelope with all the UPC’s and one rebate form, and you’ll get a single Visa gift card as a rebate – these things make it easier to deal with.

Some people love these deals, others hate them. I would consider doing it if I needed the products, but I’ll pass on reselling. They could be nice gift items for the holidays too, if you don’t need them for personal use.

Readers note that sometimes Kohl’s errors and doesn’t process all the rebates. Worth snapping a picture of the UPC’s as a backup.

Important point is that most of these products are total garbage and will break within a month.

Warning to all: I’ve done this twice, but the second time they only gave me part of the credit. I mailed in 20 UPCs, and they claimed I only turned in only 14. Since it worked the first time, I hadn’t taken all the pictures and made copies of the UPCs/forms, so I could not prove that they were wrong.

Yep same thing happened to me. 100% scam

Did you mail in each rebate form seperately, or just put a bunch of them in the same envolope?? How was the quality of the items? Getting married, and thinking about getting a bunch of these just so we can go through them the first couple of month of marriage … Wedding is draining finances, so trying to save where I can.

Twice – I’ve done all in the same envelope. That worked fine – but like others one of the times I got less than all 40 rebates. The second time I took a photo as well.

Quality: 5 cup coffee maker, broke within 2 months. Electric knives and choppers: have continued to work with occasional use since purchase. Personal blenders: work well for personal-size shakes, like protein powder and frozen fruit, and the lid doubles as a drink lid so you can actually bring the blender itself with you as a drink, pretty neat, works well. Toaster works well. Slow cookers work well, make good presents too. I don’t think the hand mixer was an option last time, so no info. Electric can opener we haven’t used.

They are basic but fine when I’ve used them (I have a waffle maker I still use from the last round of this). Mostly though I was buying them to resell on Craigslist for a small profit or just donate to Goodwill and write off the retail value on my taxes (much harder to do now with new tax system for this year).

I mailed in one big, well-padded package with everything clearly marked and packaged together by item (ie the 5 UPCs for the coffee maker together and marked, etc).

There are also some small appliances on sale from Hamilton Beach with a $10
kohl’s gc rebate by mail. I bought something for $19,99 and used the 15% off code. I also went thru ebates for 6% cb, hoping that use of the 15% off coupon doesn’t disqualify me. Just search for Hamilton Beach, under $25 for available items if this interests you.

Seems like a worthwhile deal, if I needed any of these items. Problem is, I have to jump through a lot of hoops. And trust that Kohl’s rebate department will be honest. Then, I have a pile of items that I don’t want to begin with…..

Cardpool has 12% off giftcards and will give you $5 off if you sign up as a new user and use code NEWUSER5. This makes 6 units free even without Yes2You or Ebates. I’m giving it a go to manufacture some spend and get some free appliances, even if they are garbage, I can donate them and claim a tax write off.

“up to 12%”
Currently they have 3 cards with the best at 2.4%.

They got gobbled up quickly. I took a shower and then most of them were gone.

ABCGiftcard has tons of 7% off gift cards. According to their site e-codes should arrive “within minutes” of purchase. They also offer a 45 day guarantee. I’ve had to invoke it, September 2017, I received my refund within 1-2 days (can’t remember specifically, just remember it seemed to meet my expectations).

I don’t like cardpool much. They take their sweet time to deliver the ecode. I’m still waiting for a Kohl’s gift card order I did yesterday, about 23hrs now. Others like Cardcash or Raise sends the ecode in 10 minutes or less.

JuicyJosh
JuicyJosh

I stupidly bought one from raise Sunday night planning to double dip a promo that ended 3 hrs later. Egift delivery took 10 hours. Completed purchase without Sent email requesing to cancel. Custoner service no help Now stuck with gift card. They said I could sell it on their site if I wanted. Def my mistake for thinking egift cards would have no time delay. Never again.

I’m confused about the discounted gift cards. How do you get discounted gift cards? Would you use the Kohl’s cash to buy them?

John K
John K

You can go to online gift card re-sellers and buy discounted gift cards PRIOR to your purchase. You would then use those gift cards to purchase the appliances. You still earn credit card points since you purchased the discounted gift cards with your credit card. If you go this route you don’t get the benefit of using a Kohls credit card. This method can save you several %, but, you have to deal with buying second hand gift cards, which will often be unusual balances, and sometimes won’t work. Stick to reputable gift card resellers – so if the cards are drained before you use them, they’ll reimburse you. Don’t buy more than you need – I would aim for just under what you expect to pay, and pay the remainder with a credit card – because the gift card resellers won’t reimburse you for the unusued balances after a certain number of days, check the terms when you buy the gcs.

Or . . . I buy my gift cards at Krogers – when they offer 4x gas rewards. If you can use all 35 gallons of gas its around a $15% return

Did it 2 years ago. Taking too much work/time/energy, and too much space at home. It’s just too painful to to be worth it, IMHO!

I was leaning towards this, but since I’m about to have a garage sale in a couple months anyway, I figure whatever doesn’t sell, i can give to friends or family, and like someone else mentioned if I’m desperate I can donate, so someone in need can gain access to a device, even if it’s only good for a year or two due to quality. Definitely a YMMV offer

You can use codes:

Groupon15 and Catch15off both give a 15% Discount off $100 or more at Kohl’s.

Information Booth

Groupon is currently offering a Kohls egift card $20 for $10… many people won’t get these offers because they’ve taken advantage of a similar deal in the past… so… use a different email address, create a new account, and add a card to it… the offers will roll in… happy churning and have a blessed day!!

The deal is better. They’re giving double Yes2You points, so you’ll get $10 kohls cash for every $100 spent. If you select to ship an item when you add to your cart that is in stock at your local store, they’ll give you a bonus $5 in Kohl’s cash.

Does anybody know if this actually works if applying the 15% discount? Under the terms and conditions of the mail in rebate it states:
“Not valid with any other promotions, with the exception of the Kohl’s Associate discount.”

Mine wasn’t last time either though she got the math. Funny thing – she was PISSED even more when I failed to keep a mixer from the lot I brought to a charity. I’ll risk her wrath.

Ebates came through with a whopping $2.32 cashback for my $645 order. Not a math wiz, but don’t think that’s quite a 6% rate. Just my bad luck or is this happening to others?

Luke

I had 25 appliances ordered, $474-$71 for the 15% off coupon. Ebates tracked it as a $23.78 purhcase, paying out $1.45. Not sure what the heck happened.

DTCGuy
DTCGuy

It doesnt track GC redemptions. If you used discounted GC then you will only get cash back on the part you paid with other means.

MaxPower
MaxPower

I paid with full only using my Penfed Pathfinder AMEX CC to help with minimum spend bonus and only tracked $33 out of a $569 order.

Pauline
Pauline

My order tracked correctly $19.99 + $18.99-15%=$33.133. I got $1.99 cashback which is 6% of 33.13. I think you should definitely contact ebates. You can cut and paste the text of your online order confirmation under the “Track my rebates” part of the “contact us” part of the website, which is under the “help” section. Good luck!

I got $3.06 for a $400 order lol. Should have used my regular cash back. Now im stuck with $3 in ebates

chris

They just contacted me and replied with the usual “it could take up to 15 days from the date of shipment” to get the full and accurate cash back. Guess there’s still a chance, but I don’t think I’ve ever had an initial cash back notice later changed to a larger amount. Oh well, guess I’ll find out…

Update: I contacted ebates last night and pasted my purchase information from Kohl’s. Rep said they don’t pay cash back when using gift cards to pay (but where they got the $31.76 from I don’t know cause I used 100% gift cards)…. but the rep said as a valued customer they will honor my cash back so they gave me the full amount @ 6%! Doesn’t hurt to ask, but YMMV.

Tim W.
Tim W.

After I contacted Ebates, my cash back has been updated from $2.40 pending to $0. Thanks Ebates.

Ken
Ken

My order was $752 without tax but includes the 15% off code. Ebates shows my purchase as only $31.76 for a whopping $1.91 cash back. I used all gift cards for payment but never had trouble with cash back before. I wonder if they’re calculating everything out of the purchase, like -$560 rebate, -$150 kohls cash, etc. I doubt it, but this is weird.

ChaseJuggler
ChaseJuggler

Ebates gave me $3 or something like that on the $650 purchase. I hope it gets corrected!

mizzpenny21
mizzpenny21

Same here. Spent $120.05 15% off coupon.. Ebates show $18.04 spent with $1.08 cash back.. which is 6% but the amount spent is incorrect

Same here. Spend $650. Tracked as $42.55. $2.57 back

Not valid with any other promotion it says in the rebate form. Does that mean the 15% coupon will void it?!

Danielle

Last time, I used the receipt from the online purchase, which does not show promo code or discounts (or even the Kohl’s cash I rolled to use on the purchase). It was not a problem.

Celia

(Last time there was $5 Yes2You Rewards per $100 in purchases – I’m not familiar with how Yes2You works.)

What that means is that you accumulate points for purchases, $1 = 1 pt. It doesn’t have to be in one purchase. Once you get to 100 points, they issue a $5 reward at the first of the following month. So if you have 50 points now and buy $50 worth of stuff today, you’ll get a $5 reward on May 1. You can sign up here: https://www.kohls.com/feature/rewards.jsp It also looks like they’re giving 2x points until 4/29.

What’s nice about the Y2Y rewards and Kohls cash is that you can use them on items that are excluded from the promo coupons like Nike.

Trippy
Trippy

Do you get Kohl’s cash and Yes2You rewards when buying with gift cards?

V

Bought items for $160, used UA app for kohls GC [3X], used GC through UA mileage shopping [1x + 300pts over $150] SPG card [1x] to meet minimum spend to buy GC. Got Kohl’s cash $30, 2×154 yes2you rewards $15. including rebate, overall cost for 6 appliances and 5 formal shirts $47.
