Check your Kroger coupons for the following offers:
- Save a digital coupon to get 4x fuel points on Visa and Mastercard $100, $50, or $25 fixed-value gift cards.
- Save a digital coupon to get 4x fuel points on third party gift cards. (Should work on all third-party gift cards.)
You should see these coupons for all Kroger-family brands. Typically, gift cards earn 2x, and occasionally they’ll put out offers like these to bump it up to 4x.
The Fine Print
- Coupons are valid from from August 30th through September 2, 2019 (Friday – Monday)
- Usually, every 1000 fuel points will get you a discount of $1 per gallon with a 35-gallon limit, a max value of $35 per 1000-points, though these details do vary by store and region.
- Points earned in August will be valid through the month of September. Points earned in September will be valid through the month of October.
- Excludes variable-load Visa and Mastercard gift cards.
Our Verdict
Might be worth waiting for Sunday or Monday to take advantage of these offer as that’ll extend your fuel points an extra month through October. Ibotta is offering some people 8% , it does exclude gift cards, though. Use a credit card which earns a bonus at grocery stores.Â

I used to get some serious value out of these deals (4x gas points + 4x MR points on grocery stores through Amex Gold). Moved to Wisconsin this month, and the Kroger owned stores here only accept cash or debit payment for gift cards. Guess the gravy train has left the station…

incorrect. It almost always works, and works well. A few months ago, I placed an on-line order just before midnight on the last day of an earlier 4x fuel points promo for gc’s and even a $200 vgc that were eligible. (I’d done this several times before over the past year, with no hitch – til this time,because the order didn’t process til after midnight…. But a few calls later and all was squared away (@ 4x)
You likely won’t see it active on the Kroger gc’s page (which uses separate login) til after the promotion goes live. If you’ve added the on-line coupons to your account, they should work. Make sure you insert your Kroger shopper ID # at the last order step.)
The only thing that doesn’t work is if you’re thinking to use a credit card that has a category bonus for grocery…. won’t work here.
