[Targeted] Ibotta: Get 8% Back At Kroger With Receipt Submission (Max $20)

The Offer

Direct Link to offer (keep in mind, this offer may not show for everyone in-app)

  • Ibotta is offering some users 8% cashback at Kroger stores. Limit $20.

You’ll have to submit a receipt to get the credit. Looks like it’s limited to one per person.

The Fine Print

• 8% cash back is only valid on the gross merchandise purchased. Cash back is not valid on taxes, fees, promotions, and coupons.

• $20 cash back limited per transaction

• Receipts dated prior to 6/7/18 not valid. All receipts must be submitted within one week of the printed receipt date.

• Online purchases are not eligible for credit.

• Offer excludes all purchases of Gift Cards.

•To receive credit, the submitted receipt must contain a retailer logo, product numbers, product text, total, and transaction number.

• An offer is limited to one redemption per user.

• If your in-store purchase is returned, your earnings will be reversed and your Ibotta account balance will be adjusted accordingly.

• If an exchange is made, you must add the offer again and rescan your barcode during the new transaction, to ensure that you receive proper credit.

• It may take up to 24 hours for Ibotta to update the status of your offer.

Our Verdict

Similar offer for 10% back from Dosh, except that one can be done daily and tracks automatically.

If you’re new to Ibotta, our appreciation if you signup with my referral link or Will’s referral link. You’ll also get $20 for joining (though I’m not sure exactly what the requirements are for you to earn those $20, please let us know if you have a link to describe this).

Used your referral code to sign up. To get the $20 sign up bonus… “If you have redeemed 10 offers in the Ibotta app within 14 days of registering, a $20 Welcome Bonus will be deposited into your account. Please be advised that multiple redemptions of the same offer on one receipt will count only once towards the Welcome Bonus. Any Brand and Any Item are excluded from Welcome bonuses.”

10 offers in 14 days is a tight window. I probably won’t do it but wanted to share for anyone interested.

The $20 sign up bonus (not the Kroger cashback) requires 10 offer redemptions in the first 14 days. The “any item” offers do not count toward the 10.

My offer was 5%. I bought a small Olive Garden gift card and it counted toward the total.
Also, Kroger has its own Cashback program that has many of the same offers as Ibotta. You can redeem both of them making for some pretty good deals. There’s no minimum to cashout your money if you choose a store credit on your next purchase.

I’m seeing the 5% offer from Ibotta as well. Not 8%. Still gonna be nice stacking with Dosh and Amex Blue Cash grocery

Thanks so much! I’m a regular Kroger shopper but was somehow unaware of the CB program. Is there a way to see what CB coupons you’ve loaded while on the app–I can only see it online.

I can only see it online. Hopefully they’ll add it to the app soon.

Arg, Once again reminded Dosh gives me nothing for Kroger. And that’s where I actually do my grocery shopping.

FWIW, the Ibotta $20 max means $250 spend. And I assume the “one redemption per user” means it all has to be in one purchase, your can’t accumulate it over multiple shopping trips.

I know that feeling…there’s probably 5 Krogers within 10 miles of me and I’ve never seen one on Dosh still. I find the app kind of useless since I don’t really eat fast food, but maybe I should give Sam’s Club more of a chance. Oh, I also don’t have this Ibotta offer, womp womp.

Kroger completely dominates our local grocery scene (probably 100 stores in the metro area). I would guess that’s why they haven’t chosen to promote our market in the Dish app. Sucks, but probably a good business move.
