Summer Double Offer
- Get double fuel points on weekends the entire summer through July 31
- Weekends are defined as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Fuel points on gift cards will not be doubled; you’ll get the regular 2x as usual, but it won’t be doubled to 4x. Fuel points on ordinary purchases will be doubled and earn 2x per dollar instead of 1x per dollar.

- Download the digital coupon just one time, then earn double fuel points every time you shop Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through July 31
- Excludes Pharmacy, Gift Cards, prepaid wireless phones and airtime, The Little Clinic, receipt message fuel promotion and purchases made at The Kroger Family of Stores Fuel Centers

Gift Card Offer
There’s another digital coupon for this weekend only:
- Get 4x fuel points on gift cards this weekend only, Friday – Sunday (May 6 – May 8)
- Coupon can be used an unlimited amount of times
The standard deal at Kroger stores is 2x fuel points on gift card purchases, and they’ll occasionally release offers like this one to get 4x fuel points on gift cards.
It appears that all gift cards are included in this offer – double check at the store that this is true. In the past, there have been mixed reports on whether fixed-denomination Visa/MC/Amex gift cards worked to trigger the bonus fuel points. The terms imply that they do work, but it’s YMMV in practice.

There are 14 digital coupons currently available for the purchase of gift cards. To find them, go to this link, and sort by ‘Gift Cards.’
Some options include savings on Amex gift cards, Sephora gift cards, Applebee’s, JCPenny, Spa, Fandango, and more.
These coupons are all valid until May 21, but you’ll want to use them on May 6 – May 8 so that it will stack with the 4x fuel points.
Our Verdict
Nice to see fuel points deals back, and it pairs beautifully with the 5x rewards using the Chase Freedom card for Q2 2016.
To maximize the deal even further, remember that you can get free cell phone service with Kroger when you earn fuel rewards points; no points are used up with this benefit, it’s just an additional free perk which you get from fuel points, aside from the free gas.
Points Details
Usually, every 1000 points gets you a discount of $1 per gallon with a 35-gallon limit, a max value of $35 per 1000-points. These details do vary by store and region.
