Chase has just introduced two new IHG credit cards: Traveler & Premier. As of now the ‘old’ Chase IHG Rewards Club Select credit card is still available for sign up, there are two options:
- 80,000 points + $50 (this is a targeted offer, make sure your logged into your IHG account and then do a dummy booking. You should be able to see if you’re targeted by clicking apply on this link.
Keep in mind you need to do the dummy booking to get the extra $50. Dummy booking no longer works) - 60,000 points + $50 (this is a public offer. If you go for this offer make sure you get matched to the above offer ASAP. More on that here) Looks like matches are now being denied.
I suspect this card won’t be available for much longer (mostly likely after today it won’t be available), so if you haven’t received the sign up bonus within the past 24 months I’d recommend signing up now. Keep in mind by applying now you should also receive an unrestricted free night certificate on card anniversary for the first year. It’s also worth pointing out that neither of the new cards mention being ineligible for the sign up bonus if you have or have had the Select card. The select card is also not subject to the Chase 5/24 rule.
