The Fine Print

Avoiding Fees
This account comes with a $25 early account closing fee if the account is closed within 12 months of opening. Simple checking does not have a monthly fee as long as you opt for estatements. Star checking comes with a monthly fee of $3.95.
Our Verdict
The high number of debit card transactions (with the minimum $5 per transaction) and the fact we don’t know whether this is a hard or soft pull and whether credit card funding is allowed makes this a deal break for me (along with the fact that I don’t live within the service area).
