Macerich Malls Offering Fee Free Visa Giftcards Until October 22nd

Twitter reader @maddiesdaddy78 let me know about a promotion that Macerich malls are running. Basically all gift cards that are $100 or more in value will have their purchase fee waived.

The Fine Print

• You can purchase a maximum of five cards per day and each card can be loaded with $500 in funds.
• The normal purchase fee is $3.95 per card.
• Cards are issued by Metabank

Our Verdict

These cards won’t earn a category bonus, so really only make sense for meeting minimum spend requirements. Given you can do $2,500 per transaction (specifically stated in the terms & conditions) this should be an easy and cheap way to knock out most minimum spend requirements, as long as a Macerich Mall isn’t too far away and you’re able to easily unload the gift cards (preferably in more than one different way).
