Marriott has announced a number of positive limited time changes:
- 5,500 properties will price as ‘off peak’ for bookings made before June 30th for stays through July 31st
- Elite members will receive 50% elite night credits based on their 2019 status (e.g gold elite will get 13 elite night credits). Status has already been extended through February 2022
Both these changes are positive so it’s hard to complain. I would’ve thought that all properties should be pricing as off peak anyway given how low demand is at the moment so that could speak to a bigger problem with how that off peak pricing is actually calculated.
