Update: Some people think it might just be a mistake on the part of Marriott as the United packages are supposed to earn 10% extra. That’s definitely possible, but if you redeem currently you should be able to get them to honor the increased rate regardless.
On June 28th Marriott announced what the new travel packages would look like. These packages were significantly less valuable than the old program, it looks like Marriott has realized that the devalued these too much and has made improvements. Previously you would receive 7 nights + 100,000 miles, now it’s 7 nights + 110,000 miles (United also gets 7 nights + 55,000 miles instead of 7 nights + 50,000 miles).
That being said under the old program you would pay 255,000 points for seven nights at a category 1-5 property (converts directly to 1-4 under the new program) and get 100,000 miles. That same package now costs 330,000 pointss and you get 110,000 miles.
I realize this post is several months old, but I’ve been regularly checking the Marriott travel package web page since the program merger and I never saw the increased mileage per the screenshot above. Was anyone actually able to redeem Marriott points for 110,000 non-United miles travel package after 8/1/18?

Any update for the old package transfer to new one?
Marginal improvement (if at all real) but I think you need to have a very specific use for this package to make it worthwhile. If you wanted miles, hopefully you jumped on board earlier. At this rate you’re better off transferring miles as needed and keeping points for individual nights, imo.
Are there still 5-day packages?
