Marriott has sent out e-mails to loyalty members that have shared points with another account in the past. The e-mails are as follows:
<name> , you recently shared points from your Marriott Bonvoy™ account.
Here are the details:
- Number of points: XXXX
- From account number: XXXX
People are receiving these e-mails from point transfers that they have done in January of 2019 (maybe even earlier). It’s not clear why these e-mails were sent out but Marriott having an IT issue doesn’t exactly surprise me. Rest assured no additional transfers have been completed.
