Marriott Launches New Trivia Game: 29 Ways To Stay (Points & Stays Prizes) [Limit Of 1 Instant Win Prize Per DAY]

Update 10/18/18: Marriott obviously realized nobody was going to play the game again if they could only win one instant win prize total. You can now win one instant win prize per day, terms specifically state: ‘Limit one (1) Instant Win Prize per person, per day.

Update 10/13/18: Terms state ‘Limit one (1) Instant Win Prize per person‘. Makes this promotion so much worse than it already is. Probably just makes sense to play once, get your instant win prize and then move onto other things.

This was supposed to go live on October 4th. It has finally gone live. It now runs through November 8th rather than ending on the 1st.

Our Verdict

Looks like the odds of winning 50 points will be 50%? It looks like the game itself will be a memory game. You’re allowed to play the game once per day. Based on the odds you’d expect to win one 500 point prize and then 13 50 point prizes for a total of 1,150 points. Some people will do better, others will do worse obviously.

finally. this game is over. good riddance.

i wonder who played daily besides our group? i would think nobody gives a shit. i hated remembering to play this daily but convinced myself that 50 pts per day over a month adds up to something. better than nothing i guess.

also, for anyone who cares, the clock resets at 9PM PST or 12AM EST. so be sure to get your last day in before 9PM PST.

I’m not sure I understand your hostility over something that was free. 1800 points earned from participating in the promotion posted in my account today. And I think of it as much “better than nothing” considering the minimal effort.

Looks like today is the last day. Between my two accounts (legacy SPG and Marriott), I won 22 times total, 50 points each time, never hit anything bigger. I missed most weekends, and had a few losing days in there. So 1,100 points for my trouble. That’s about 8 bucks worth? Better than nothing I suppose.

I guess I’m glad this promo is ending. It’s getting tiring clicking every day. 🙂 I’ve been doing it for 3 family accounts. Winning does not seem exactly random. Some days, all of us win something (usually 50 points), and some days nobody wins anything. The last 2 days, no points at all. Did they give them all away? It would definitely be better PR to always give you at least 50 points. That’s basically nothing, but at least makes you feel like you didn’t completely waste your time!

I’ve been playing every day and went to check my points activity and I don’t see any of the points I earned from this game being posted. Is that normal or are they going to post later? Thanks

what’s keeping someone from playing on multiple accounts and then transferring everything into one account?

Could be worth it to play everyday. Just got 2,000 points today even though I was only receiving the default 50 points a day previously.

Actual wining odds are much higher than advertised. Probably because fewer then expected players
Out of 30 entries(3 family members) I got:
2 x 0 pts
20 x 50 pts
4 x 500 pts
2 x 1000 pts
2 x 2000 pts

2200 points so far. I guess not too bad considering I just added the “game” to my few minutes of checking for new Amex Offers while I drink coffee in the morning.
