Pleasantly surprised by how easily I was able to redeem this rebate. Like Eric, I bought the Must Love product at Sprouts (the only retailer around me that stocks it), but the receipt didn’t indicate the product by brand, only as “Cooke Dough Dessert.” I decided to submit my receipt along with a picture of the front of the product and a picture of the UPC, expecting it to go through manual review. To my surprise, my rebate claim was approved within 1 minute, and I received a PayPal deposit immediately afterwards. Thought it might be helpful to throw this data point out there.

Worst promo ever.

Blank page problem RM experienced below.

Finally got through that and uploaded receipt. Denied, asked me to resubmit. Took a better picture, uploaded, denied.

Reached out to support who told me that I already did a Brave Robot rebate. Umm, these are two different products and different rebates and the terms didn’t state anything about that. Rep only offered to re-submit under a different phone number.

Luckily I had another SIM card so popped it in and did the rebate with that SIM card. Used a different email to be safe. Approved rebate, but I couldn’t do PayPal since my different email wasn’t my PayPal email. So I was forced to get an Amazon code.

Most work I’ve ever done for $5.99.

I bought the bars this morning at Central Market Houston. Got home, uploaded a photo of receipt to email address they sent me when I registered. Immediately received a choice of PayPal or Amazon. I chose Amazon, got a code which I entered in my Amazon account. Bingo…$5.99 richer at Amazon.

Is anyone else having trouble submitting their receipt?

After verifying my phone number, I was taken to a blank page at URL https://app.chop.today/mustlove. So no way to actually submit the receipt …

RM You have to register your email address and phone number and then it will prompt u to upload the receipt or take the picture of the receipt. Depending on the receipt details it can be almost immediate acceptance for rebate or you might need to do a manual review.

For me that had to do a manual review because Sprouts didn’t list the ice cream as an “ice cream” but rather a “dessert”. If u select manual review, they will text u when the receipt is accepted.

Eric Thank you. I could not get through the registration process. When I input the verification code texted to my phone, I got taken to a blank page.

RM try using a different browser. If not try restarting the computer. It seems odd that you get a blank page. Also try your mobile phone if you have to.

Same thing happened to me: to blank page after entering verification code sent to my phone. On Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on desktop and on both Chrome and Safari on iPhone/iPad. Sent an email to their support but have heard nothing back.

Howard Good to know I am not going crazy.

The rebate support customer service can take a very long time to respond. The Brave Robot ice cream rebate used the same outside agency to process their rebates. It took them almost a month to respond when P2 had an issue and that was only after P2 complained directly to the merchant. So be prepared to contact the merchant directly.

Since you mentioned that the same agency did the recent Brave Robot rebate, I wonder if the problem you and I are having stems from using the same mobile number and email address as we did for the Brave Robot rebate. It would not be surprising for the agency to cut corners and save money by reusing the same software platform. If so, they might have failed to do a reset so that numbers/addresses previously used are kicked into this blank page area of cyberspace.

Howard I bet you are right. Not sure whether there is a way around this, though, as (I think) one needs to use one’s PayPal e-mail to claim the rebate.

Howard Just for kicks, tried my e-mail with P2’s cell phone. Instead of a blank screen, got an error message stating that the e-mail and phone number don’t match. This seems to confirm your hypothesis.

Bingo! Received confirmation via email from support that our surmise is correct: the problem is that our info is already in the system from the Brave Robot rebate:
“ The issue you report seems to be because the phone number/email are already registered in the system from a Brave Robot rebate.”

Sent my information (email and cell #) together with photos of the receipt and item purchased to support ([email protected]) and then got this follow-up:
“Thank you for reaching out to us again.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We have sent your request for manual rebate and we will get in touch with you as soon as it has been processed.”

Lame….the rebate process resulted in having to do a manual review because the Sprouts receipt doesn’t list the ice cream as Must Have Ice cream (Strawberry flavor) but rather “Strawberry Dessert”. I mean seriously why “dessert” of all things. The automated receipt system was probably keying off of keywords like “ice cream”, “must have”, etc and couldn’t find it. Pretty lame but now I am in the waiting process.

Avoid Sprouts if you can for this rebate unless u want to wait.

It says “dessert” because it technically is a “frozen dessert” (ice cream has a specific legal definition in the US that requires cow milk). The problem isn’t with Sprouts, but with the rebate system. (Although seems like other retailers don’t label it as such.)

Found it in Sacramento, not sure if the rebate worked.

Timeline:

5:36pm PST – read post on DoC
5:37 – found it at local co-op 3 blocks away
5:38 – jumped on skateboard to said co-op
5:44 – purchased box of dipped strawberry bars.
5:46 – sent in copy of receipt
5:47 – received message that it needed manual review
5:54 – finished box of said bars

Maybe they’ll send me the rebate, maybe they won’t.

Glad you appreciated it. In my urban area, it’s about the same time to skate 3 blocks as it is to drive.

Also considering a total roundtrip of .57 miles at the government rate 58 cents per mile, I calculate a further savings of $.33 by skating, in addition to the (potentially) free ice cream.

Steve Enough people care about cows. The times, they are a changing. In a few decades, eating the meat of once living creatures will be relegated to the history books and seen as the province of neanderthals. Much more efficient and humane meat production (not necessarily imitation meat) is on its way.

Ice cream can be made from almost any milk. Oat milk included. Get over yourself and stop being close minded. All of us can’t eat dairy. Personally, I prefer to make mine at home with coconut milk. Most dairy based ice creams are loaded with additives anyway.
