[Expired] My Sprint Rewards: Free $2 Amazon Gift Card per Line (Now Working)

Has reached the redemption limit

Update 8/6/19: Deal is showing up again, but the redeeming link doesn’t seem to be working properly. Fingers crossed Sprint fixes this ASAP. I imagine this will go quickly when it does start working, so if you get it to work let us know in the comments so we can repost.

The Offer

  • Sprint customers can get a free $2 Amazon gift card via the My Sprint Rewards program.

Click ‘Sprint Rewards’ on the home screen, then ‘Amazon’.

Our Verdict

Not sure if this is unlimited; worth doing it sooner rather than later if you’re interested. You can have a separate My Sprint Rewards account for each Sprint line. See past My Sprint Rewards deals here.

Don’t see it under my account 😱😱

Didn’t see it mine either but try searching for it. Came up for me and was able to redeem.

It was all the way at the end of the “Rewards” list in P1 & P2 app. Getting paid $4 to help pay the $7.62 phone bill – Priceless! 🙂 Thank you DoC for the heads up!

Sprint is pretty awful coverage wise, but for the price we got, it’s an incredible deal.

I agree. We find Sprint service to be just good enough to be barely acceptable where we live. We definitely will be switching once the offer is done .

We came from Verizon, so we know what great coverage is like, at least on the east coast. Might take a chance on Total Wireless since I hear they use Verizon towers and have good prices in line with the budget guys like Cricket/Boost/Walmart, etc, that I think use T-mobile towers. I figure early next year we will start to take notes on reviews/cost. I don’t finance phones so most of the ads I see don’t apply.

But just in case the T-mobile/Sprint merger screws up our plan I would recommend to everyone to have a plan of attack ready. It shouldn’t, but better to be ready than not.

FWIW Cricket uses AT&T, Boost uses Sprint and Metro uses T-Mobile

Thanks… I haven’t researched anything other than Total. Guess Total gets throttled, so my discount service may not be worth the effort.

Depends on location. Sprint coverage is pretty awesome here. /shrug

In case it confuses you: it doesn’t say “$2 Amazon Gift Card Offer”; it’s just “Amazon.com” “Amazon Gift Card” “While Supplies Last”.

Got it now. It was not at the home screen banner though. I had to go to sprint rewards section the app, and it was the last one in the list. Thanks

If you scroll to the bottom it was the last one for me…last time this was offered I was able to apply multiple phones $2 reward to the same amazon account.

I installed the app but bailed when it wanted permissions to “make and manage phone calls”. Google play also says it needs permissions to prevent phone from going to sleep. Am I being overly concerned? I don’t want this taking over my phone for $2 but then again, Sprint already makes and manages my calls.

The app doesn’t actually make any phone calls. If I recall correctly, it does some sort of phone number verification while you are installing/ etc. (Similar to how most apps send you a verification text message, but this one verifies more directly.)

Basically Sprint Rewards has to be installed on your actual Sprint Phone. Nothing to worry about. If you’re using a corporate phone, I assume you must go by what sort of apps your company is Okay with you installing. If this is your personal phone, I don’t see why this sort of thing is something worth thinking about. *

* it is annoying that Apps ask for absurd permissions. I can relate to any desire to ‘boycott’, but I think more harm is done to the individual than the company by boycotting an app that gives free stuff.

Yeah, not encouraging others to boycott, just trying to keep my phone clean of prying/nasty apps. Aside from managing calls, if it prevents phone from sleep (deep sleep on android), I won’t make it through the day with one charge.
Anyway, might give this another shot.

My Sprint Rewards app isn’t installed on my Sprint phone. My Sprint phone gets crappy reception, only use it for wi-fi calling, so I installed the rewards app on my AT&T phone months ago. No issues.
