[YMMV] Nest Aware Subscribers: Free Google Nest Hub

The Offer

No direct link, offer sent out via e-mail. Subject line is ‘Your new Nest Aware subscription qualified you for a Nest Hub on us.’

  • Some nest Aware subscribers are being sent an e-mail offering a free Google Nest Hub

The Fine Print

  • Valid until 7/31/20

Our Verdict

People have reported receiving the e-mail, but the code itself is currently not working. You can try chatting to get it fixed, but very few succesful datapoints. Probably better to just wait it out for now. I’ll try to repost when the codes are working correctly. Google is currently offering a free nest mini for YouTube Premium subscribers.

I also got the “Get a free Nest Mini when you subscribe to the new Nest Aware” email this morning. I’d certainly prefer a Hub to a mini but it is something.

Successfully ordered the Hub with estimated delivery of July 10. Thanks DoC!

Moved my account to google yesterday late night. Shifted to $60 annual plan instead of the existing $50 plan which was ending on June 12. Was told will receive a prorated refund for existing plan pkus 1 month free trial.
Got an email later this evening with a code for Nest Mini (not the hub).

Never got one, fake news again. This site is like the new CNN.

Also, for me, the code only worked on the charcoal Nest Hub, not the chalk.

Have you upgraded to the new Nest Aware subscription?

Not worth for me to “upgrade” for the new plans. Old plan $50/year has only last 5 days recorded but 24/7 video. New plan would have to pay $120/year for 24/7 and60 days of recordings I don’t need. So the hub isn’t really free if “upgrading” to pay more. $50/year is already pushing it, BS what Google is trying to get away with.

The code in the email didn’t work, but the redeem link did. Later Google sent out an email stating that they’ve fixed the issue with redeeming using the code.

Is it possible to subscribe to the nest aware service to get the free google nest device?

So I accidentally subscribed to Nest Aware last week. Meant to upgrade a different Nest account. I canceled a few days later on May 31. I got an email for a free Nest Mini on June 2nd, while the account that upgraded to Nest Aware got a free Nest Hub.

Data Point. Yes it is. I just subscribed to the $120 plan last night and was not on a trial and had never had a paid subscription prior. Just received email for free Hub. YMMV I guess but this was my result. Stay healthy and prosper!

Do you mean the $12/month award plus subscription? I also subscribed to this last night to see if it would trigger a targeted email offer code. It looks like the subscription doesnt bill until 30 days meaning the first month is a free trial.

Code initially didn’t work, but an hour ago it went through successfully with “Redeem” button in the e-mail, good luck!

They sent a follow-up email that there was an error with the first email that they’ve since corrected.
