Update 5/28/19: Full list is now available. Seems like a weak list to me, only thing jumping out is the InterContinental Kuala Lumpur for 15,000 points per night although KL is probably the city I like least in that area of the world. Share any properties you find interesting in the comments.
IHG will release a new PointsBreaks list on Tuesday May 28th, 2019. PointsBreak properties cost 5,000, 10,000 or 15,000 points per night. Previously all PointsBreak properties cost 5,000 points but three lists ago they added 10,000 and 15,000 properties. After a strong first list after the introduction of 10,000 and 15,000 properties the last few lists have been extremely weak. Fingers crossed we get something better this time.
Not a great deal by any stretch but the Holiday Inn Express PDX at 10K isn’t bad. The place is brand new and you can almost walk from the airport, it’s that close. I’m biased since I spend a lot of time commuting in and out of PDX. On the other hand, I wouldn’t touch the Candlewood PDX at 10K.
Some good domestic US options for summer road trips. Cedar City, UT is bonkers crazy expensive when the Utah Shakespearean Fest in in full swing (grab this now if you are going!) Also Grand Junction and the NY 10k ones are all good roadtrip summer options, along with many others. A good domestic roadtrip list, IMO
If you don’t mind staying in metro adjacent hotels in major cities the list isn’t bad when you have the brand new Intercontinental at the MSP Airport, the Holiday Inn Ballston (near the Washington Metro), Crowne Plaza Greenbelt MD, Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh, the two Portland Airport selections, etc.
You can book rooms during the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, although the normal rate is only $120 and it’s a bit of a drive. Still it’s free to cancel and I did just that.
That 15k Crowne Plaza in London doesn’t pique your interest at all?

If you like food, you should like KL! Malay, Chinese, and Indian people all love food, and their combined influence has made KL (and Penang of course) foodie heaven.
Yeah the food is great, but the city itself I didn’t enjoy at all. If I want good food in Malaysia I’d rather go to Penang
