New Wave American Express Shutdowns

Last week there were reports of American Express shutting down accounts. I haven’t seen a lot reports outside of Chinese language forums (small amount of reddit chat here) and the official reason given was due to ‘Indica of misuse’. The last time a wave like this happened it was due to international spend from buying groups. There was some speculation that Bill Pay might have caused it but that doesn’t seem to be consistent with the reports.
