[Expired] Office Depot/Max Stores: Buy $300 In Visa Giftcards & Get $15 Instant Discount (11/14-11/20)

Deal has ended, view more Office Depot deals by clicking here.

The Offer

Check your Office Depot/Max store for the following deal:

  • Buy $300 in Visa gift cards and get $15 discounted instantly at the register.

The Fine Print

  • Valid 11/14/21 – 11/20/21
  • Limit 1 per household/business
  • In-store only

Our Verdict

If you buy a $200 Visa gift card and a $100 Visa gift card, the total will come out to $297.90; or buy two $200 Visa gift cards for a total of $398.90. This deal isn’t being advertised, but people are reporting seeing this in stores. They usually offer a deal the week following Staples. This week we have the Staples fee-free Mastercard deal as well.

Use a card like the INK Cash/Plus which earns 5x at office supply stores. Also note, Dosh offers 2% back at Office Depot/Max, though the terms exclude gift cards from earning.

1 Store near me closed down. It was by far the most reliable. These are sad times we are living in ( :

Thanks for the heads up, was hoping it would be Mastercard since it has been Visas a few times in a row. I have an easier time using Mastercards organically compared to Visas because some self-checkouts like at Walmart will allow you to use up the end of the Mastercard but it seems like Visas get declined unless you use up the exact value or have a cashier do it.

Is Organic Spend the only reasonable way to offload these now? I buy a bunch of these and just use them when I shop at Costco….effectively turning my Costco purchases into 5%+ back from the original INK purchase of the GC. Is this prudent? Beginner MS’er here.

depends where you are. i have a grocery chain near me that *generally* has no problems unloading these via WU MO. online options are more difficult. if that isn’t an option (or you don’t want to screw with it), using for costco is fine. just keep in mind to not hold onto these too long

Thanks. What’s the argument against holding them too long? I’ve noticed they have pretty long expiration dates of 2029…

Holding them too long will (1) lose value due to inflation and (2) have risk of getting unauthorized charges

Inflation and breakage.

These office stores know why people eat these promos up? What are they making on these?

No more of those $200 visa gift cards available, at least the ones I went to today. Don’t know the reason of promotion if none is available for sale.

If your store was out, no need for any of us to visit the other 2200 stores, is there?

I guess I should be content and wish those who can still buy those $200 ones and those $20 – S200 or S100 one good luck. Consider yourself lucky if you can still find them.

I haven’t seen fixed value $200 Visa’s in a while, just $50-200 that you can tell them to load with $200. They have $200 Mastercard ones.

lately $200s have been all out, I have been buying 3x $100 everywhere cards, which are not as good as $200s but actually close (good for using as the last $100 on a WU MO)

the last two OM stores within 20 miles closed last month. This deal has no relevance to me any more.
