Paypal Giving Fund connects with over 40,000 U.S. charities all year round, and offers fee-free credit card processing for affiliated charities.
Here’s how it works: you donate with a credit card or another payment method to Paypal Giving Fund and specify which charity they should send to; the tax-deductible receipt comes from Paypal Giving Fund, a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible charity. Then, Paypal Giving Fund sends a check to your organization within a month with the funds. The charity receives the full amount donated, Paypal doesn’t take any cut.
I use Paypal Giving Fund regularly for charitable contributions since I’d otherwise donate with check to save the charity the cost of payment processing. When using Paypal Giving Fund, Paypal swallows the processing costs.
Beginning today, #GivingTuesday, through December 31, Paypal Giving Fund offers an additional 1% on top of your donation. So if you donate $100, the charity will receive $101.
