Plastiq Sends Out E-mail About Errors With Visa Payments Being Fixed – Mortgage Payments Still Don’t Work

Plastiq has sent out an e-mail to some users that had attempted to make a payment using a Visa card that resulted in an error. The e-mail is as follows:

A while back you encountered an issue while trying to make a payment with your Visa card on Plastiq.com. We are happy to share that this has since been resolved. You can now make that payment with your Visa card, and have it process normally.

Unfortunately it looks like the e-mail was sent out to a lot of people who had attempted to make a mortgage payment and those mortgage payments still can’t be made. It’s not clear if that was the issue that Plastiq thought they had fixed, or it was another issue and the e-mail has been sent out to the wrong group.

I haven’t seen Rebecca around for a while. Guess she’s already quit the job for advertising plastiq on here.

Customer Service at Plastiq said the email was sent regarding cash advance. Visa payments will always code as a purchase

I too got the email. Only time it failed was due to trying to pay Mortgage with Plastiq using the usual way and another time using a workaround (which worked and later was cancelled)

got this email because i tried to use my CIP to pay my mortgage and i’m one of the lucky few who is still able to pay their mortgage with a visa. had to use a mastercard first and didn’t get the cash advance notice anymore and CIP coded as 3x as well. definitely depends on who your lender is.
