I love this blog, but this is a new low. Posts about instant pots? i really hate the new direction doctorofcredit is moving towards. There are already plenty of “deal” sites out there. I understand there isn’t always a ton of credit / banking / travel related news but there has to be a better answer than this.

The Best Buy brand (Insignia) is $29.99 for the 6 quart version which is strikingly similar to the Instapot: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-6-quart-multi-function-pressure-cooker-stainless-steel/6263602.p?skuId=6263602

That’s not even a pressure cooker.

Did you read the product description?

It IS a pressure cooker at an incredible price, and most likely from the SAME Chinese manufacturer who make the Instant Pot line. Not only everything look strikingly similar, all accessories you need you can buy Instant Pot’s and they fit the Insignia perfectly.

Incidentally the factory reps on BBY customer reviews have better presence / supports than the Instant Pot reps on AMZN customer reviews.

Macy has been selling the same model 6QT at $49.99 since 10 days ago – dubbed Thanksgiving in July, before the Prime Day started.
Last week even Amazon has the same $49.99 price after a $10 coupon code which is listed underneath the product with a check box to click, bringing down the $59.99 list to $49.99.

Had I not have bought the lower model LUX just 2 weeks ago with the AMEX offer at the same $49.99, I would buy the DUO which has more manual control function than the LUX.

Worth mentioned is Best Buy’s own private label Insignia that seems is from the same manufacturer of Instant Pot, as not only looks very similar but every Instant Pot accessories FIT Insignia perfectly – at a Much Lower prices during the Best Buy Daily Deal Sale. I have an 8QT bought at $39,99 earlier this year.

The only difference I can see is the inner pot for Instant Pot is stainless steel (but in cheap quality as foods would discolor it) while the Insignia is aluminum with nonstick coating – actually much easier to clean than the stainless steel.
One can buy a ceramic coating inner pot but I dont think it is necessary.
