Our Verdict

You can’t use Rakuten gift cards for this promotion, but you can redeem it on gift cards they sell. They offer the following gift cards:

Pretty crappy selection and it’s only really a $5 discount on the iTunes and PlayStation cards. There is a payments workshop datapoint for this earning 5x on Chase Ink Plus/Cash, it’s old though so I’m not sure if that’s still the case or not. Not sure if portals will track when using a promo code/purchasing gift cards but it’s worth a try. Mastercard Easy Savings also gives an extra 2% cash back at Rakuten. If anybody finds any good deals, let us know in the comments.

Works for $50 Steam cards at checkout but after taxes and shipping to SF Bay Area, California it isn’t worth it imo: $55.93 for the $50 card. After coupon, ship and tax applied: $59.47- $2.97 x 2(INK and TopCashBack)= 53.53. Cheaper if you have a Target Card and a Target that gives you the 5% off at checkout.

Xbox – they fixed the code, will not work
iTunes – orders were cancelled last time
PS – cards are NOT from first party seller, aka beware

Might want to update the post.
