Still happy with my iPhone SE that I bought in mid 2017. Hoping to get at least another 2 years out of it and then maybe I’ll buy the iPhone SE 2 (which hopefully by then will be even cheaper)
Pretty nice timing on the iPhone with the Amex amazon deals. Effectively 330 since I’ve got nothing else to buy. Kinda wish it was the old se size though
Actually redpocket has it for $300 with 6 months service included.
I was really hoping apple was gonna introduce a phone with the same size of the old SE but with the screen similar to the X and newer models. I personally hate how big phones have gotten. Guess I’m in the minority though.
Agree about wanting a 4in screen. Also unfortunate this reboot doesn’t include a headphone jack.
I’ve still got a few more years on my current phone, but I think I’ll buy a Purism Librem next. Tired of the mainstream offerings.
I’ll be continuing to replace the battery on my original SE. for the foreseeable future. Nicer form factor for my hands and the later generations offer nothing that I need.
Yea I had the older SE and it was quality albeit small. Opted not to replace the battery and went with a Moto g7 last year after two years of owning the SE. g7 is quality but lately the lightning charging stopped working and a new charger didn’t help. It’s an annoying yet digestable situation
Agreed with never buying flagships. I always buy phones based on price per year of support.
SE2 is pretty much unparalleled; $400 for a phone that will in all likelihood have 5 years of support ($80 per year). Compare this with a Samsung flagship where you are lucky to get 2-3 years of support.
great deal. I usually get a 2-year old iPhone after that year’s new iPhone comes out. $200-250 on craigslist or just buy old inventory from the cell company. Last time I got an XR on special, that’s a pretty good phone. Apple can count on its hardcore fans to always get the latest and greatest, though.
