- Aimia in talks with Oneworld alliance as potential Aeroplan partner by CBC. Pretty sure this is just posturing by Aeroplan, can’t see them taking the Oneworld Alliance deal as that doesn’t open up any inventory for domestic Canadian flights at all.
- Red Cross is offering $5 Amazon gift card for donating blood by August 30th. Giving blood also makes you feel like you’re doing a good thing (and you are).
- New Hilton Hotels Summer 2018: Earn 1,000 Bonus Points Per Night or Other Bonus at Some of Them by The Gate. Just to be clear, this is on Hilton properties that have recently opened.
- Stay 2+ Nights At New IHG Hotels, Earn 10,000 Bonus Points by Frequent Miler. Similar to the Hilton offer above, but for 10,000 points instead of 1,000. Hilton is per night and this requires a two night stay though.

Just to be even clearer, “recently opened” Hiltons can refer to properties that were recently rebranded to be Hilton. The Santa Barbara resort mentioned in the link used to be called the Spa Del Mar & is a physically old property like most of the hotels in Santa Barbara. Hilton claims to have refreshed the rooms, but even a review 2 weeks ago indicates outdated (and/or broken things in need of maintenance) parts of the resort.
Interesting, thanks for the information!
I actually stayed there about 4 years ago it was a Hilton then, great view of the ocean, definitely pricey would rather stay at Hyatt in Santa Barbara by State Street. 🙂
