- Fifth Third $200 Checking Bonus [FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MO, NC, OH, PA, TN, WV]. Has been extended until December 31st.
- Google No Longer Grandfathering Android Pay Cards by PYMNTs. Google are obviously happy with the volume they are starting to put through Android Pay.
- Citi Not Honoring Bonus Applied For Under Old Rules! by Miles to Memories. Not sure what’s going on here, it looks like approval date matters but then others that were approved after the 28th have the bonus tracker and have been told they are eligible.
- Hilton Updates Their Promotion: Earn Up to 52 Points Per Dollar by View From The Wing. Pretty awesome stacking deal here.
- New AMEX Changes Effective January 1, 2017: Forfeit, Reversal & Negative Membership Reward Point Balances by Travel With Grant. Business as usual by American Express. They have been doing this anyway, so I guess they just want the extra legal security to do it more often.
- Targeted Sears offer of 10x Citi ThankYou Points on Gas Stations, Grocery Stores & Restaurants via reader Lenny.
I thought it was obvious that one had to be APPROVED by August 28 with Citi in order to avoid the new rules… whoever read it any other way didn’t understand it correctly.
I thought so too. I had a pending Citi prestige application back then and called to get it approved around Aug 20. The letter confirms 50,000 bonus points and I even received an email reminding me to get the bonus.
