- Citi layoffs: Last day at work for 57 employees is May 12 by Argus Leader. I’ll avoid making any jokes about retention offers as people have lost their jobs. The plus side is employees are getting paid for two months after the end date and it looks like Citi will be making an attempt to re-employ at least some of them.
- Credit scores could jump 30 points this month by CNBC. Tax liens are being removed completely. I thought this had already happened last year, but only 50% of liens were removed. This number should now be 100%.

- Reader 5150d shared some information regarding SPG/Marriott merger from a Vistana Timeshare Owners perspective and how it’s a good deal:
For Example: 1. Owners can convert their timeshare week into SPG points that will now be multiplied each year by 3X. If you are 5 Star Elite with Vistana you get an additional bonus of 10%. This can result for many weeks in 100,000 SPG = 300,000 Points for each week and each year. 2. If you own enough timeshare weeks you get to be Vistana 5 Star Elite. This gives you SPG Platinum for as long as you own them. With the new Marriott program an additional benefit is added that the Stay qualifier iswaived for 5 Star Elite VSN members. This means that for Platinum 50 you do NOT have to actually stay 50 nights and therefore get the 5 SuiteNightAwards each year.
