- DEAL DEAD – Gift of College w/o a 529 plan by Miles Per Day. I know some people get angry when I post these dead deals, but hopefully you find something to look out for the future.
- Earning Another Citi Bonus Within 24 Months by Running With Miles. Very interesting…
- Here’s What Happens When StubHub Tickets Get Lost in the Mail by Credit Cardpe Diem. If you ever wondered this now you know.
- Pretty sure this has been brought up before, but Citi & Bank of America use stock photos with the same model and store background. I particularly like the floating travel rewards card from Bank of America. Sent in by reader tsitosaj.
Barclaycard Commence same model
financial institutions using the stock damn photos with the same models does get annoying because sometimes I think im on the wrong site and need to double check the URL and verify its not a scam site. but thats just me since i look for redirects and exploits.
i dont know why they cant just use another stock photo company or do some due diligence. speaking of online models, the MOST ANNOYING is seeing the damn Ariane, the overexposed stock photo model. she is fukn EVERYWHERE. jesus…

Ugh, I product-converted from the Citi AT&T Access More ($650 iPhone credit) to Citi TYP (no new account bonus obviously) then to Citi DoubleCash (again no bonus). So was my brief TYP considered closed or not? Does that mean I won’t be eligible for a TYP bonus 24 months from the date of the PC or ever as long as I have the DoubleCash open?
Yup
“Bonus ThankYou Points are not available if you have had a ThankYou Preferred, ThankYou Premier or Citi Prestige card opened or closed in the past 24 months. “
We aren’t sure how product changes are treated to be honest, you’re probably not eligible.
Too funny Justin!
I love dead deals. There’s so much to learn. I gained so many insights from reading Heavy Hitter threads from previous years.
Doc I’m so MAD that you post deals that are dead!! I can’t believe you would link to another popular blog and ruin a dead deal! Please be courteous in the future.
This is a head scratcher. If a deal is dead, how can you ruin it? In other words, when you see an obituary, do you blame the person who gave you the newspaper?
Whoosh
Whoomp, there it is!
Ferris. Go back to sarcasm school please.
Yeah. How could you ruin a dead deal.
Wait, huh? That doesn’t make any sense.
Whoosh
It is a joke, you dinguses
haha Sarcasm on the internet fails every time! 🙂
I think he was being facetious, lol.
Sorry, I should have been clearer. People get mad I didn’t tell them the deal before it died.
