- If you see somebody doing something nice, you can send them a KIND bar for free. Cool little program, originally found by DansDeals.
- AccorHotels Acquisition of Fairmont, Raffles and Swissôtel Completed Today by The Gate. This was actually completed a little while ago now, but still interesting news. I wonder what will happen to the Fairmont card from Chase. I really wish AccorHotels offered a co-branded credit card, they have had some good discounts in recent times and I mostly like their properties.
- American Express sending out emails when you meet qualified spend by Miles Per Day. I’m surprised that American Express are sending out these types of e-mails, they are likely testing it to see if it improves spend on the cards or not. I’d think that it wouldn’t, but maybe it helps long term? Either way, I’m sure American Express will find out.
- FlexPerks nerfs online first class and multi-city flight awards by Frequent Miler. These are still bookable over the phone.
- Long Term Storage Fees Are Coming In August by Oren’s Money Saver. Something resellers should be aware of.
- Coming to 4 New Cities: JetBlue’s Mint Service by The Real Deal. You get the ‘best’ value from JetBlue points by redeeming them for Mint, so this might be useful for some.
- Free small regular popcorn for target redcard holders. You just need to show your card, so even if it isn’t active it should still work. They offer similar deals on a semi regular basis, so might be worth keeping your redcard if you still have one.
