So this legislation will Prohibit a merchant charging the customer a fee to use a debit/credit card?

Will be Interesting to see how the ripples of that will effect the US market.

It’s just utter nonsense. The fees get passed down one way or another. The fact that they go making laws like this is pointless. Prices of everything at these shops will just go up 2% – hurts small businesses.

Its easy for someone the US to say this. Almost no one in US charge surcharge Unless you are utility company and your rates are controlled by gov laws. This is menace in Europe and Asia. Had to withdraw From ATM and pay cash.
